Dozens of police were required to arrest struggling fighters during a street brawl in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Shocking footage from Channel 9 shows officers piling onto the fighters as they scream and yell, resisting arrest. 

The chaotic drama unfolded between 2-3am in Kings Cross, Sydney, as onlookers watched the violence.

 Six men were arrested following the altercation, with one issued a ticket for offensive language and resisting arrest.

A New South Wales police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia five others were assisting police in their inquiries on Sunday morning. 

Earlier, on Saturday evening, in nearby Darling Harbour, a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the head, requiring medical attention. 

He was taken to St Vincent hospital in a stable condition after being treated by ambulance paramedics.

During the same incident, a 19-year-old man was pushed to the ground and robbed.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
