Six British men arrested in Belgium amid 'imminent' terror threat

Six Pakistani born British men were arrested in Belgium after being spotted in three 'old ambulances' (pictured) near a petrol station used by fugitive terrorist, Abdeslam Salah. Armed police in six armoured trucks ordered them to get out of the 'converted' ambulances which were parked at the Esso petrol station in Bierges, 20 miles from the capital Brussels. Officers found piles of clothes, food and money inside the vehicles, raising fears they may have been trying to get to Syria. The arrested men, one of whom is known to British police, did not speak French but have cooperated with detectives, a Belgian police commissioner said. Brussels has been locked down and flooded with armed police and tanks for a second day today, over fears of an 'imminent' terror attack. Europe's most wanted man Abdeslam, who is believed to have rented the cars used in the Paris attacks, has been on the run since he took part in the slaughter of 130 in Paris last Friday.

Prostituted at 12 by my mother to Morris Minor icon Lord Nuffield

History has certainly been kind to Lord Nuffield, and with good reason. Today the multi-millionaire founder of Morris Motors - and of an Oxford University college - is viewed as one of this country's greatest-ever philanthropists. Yet for all the millions he gave away, there is at least one woman who still shudders when she thinks of Lord Nuffield's 'generosity' and the price she paid in return. Today, Ann Vaughan, pictured (inset) aged 79 and (left) when she was just 13 years old, has bravely agreed to waive her right to anonymity to reveal how the peer systematically assaulted her - with, shockingly, she says, the silent connivance of a mother who was cowed by his wealth and influence.
