She's known for her former relationships, rather than her talents.

But that didn't stop Nancy Dell'Olio from taking to the stage in London's West End on Thursday evening, where she performed her latest one-woman show.

The 54 year-old put on a bold show - literally - in The World According To Nancy Dell'Olio, which took place at the Hippodrome Casino.

Wearing a daring off-the-shoulder gold dress, she flaunted her legs in the attention-grabbing design.

Matched with a pair of peep-toe platform shoes and a dazzling necklace for added sparkle, she certainly embodied all the qualities of a stage star.

Wearing her trademark big hair, she had clearly gone all-out for the occasion.

The production was only a one-night stand for theatre-goers, but it received some warm support from keen followers. One fan took to Facebook with a self-penned review, saying: 'It is very clear that this fabulous lady is confident in her own skin. Her show is well constructed...her opinions about life are obvious in places, but wholeheartedly sincere.

'She reads from a prepared script and breaks to make eye contact with her audience to monitor the reaction. Her timing is a bit erratic, but that adds to her charm.

'Her connection with the audience - helped by a very enthusiastic compere - is charming and, when she relied on audience participation, it did work. Warhol said that people are entitled to their 15 min of fame, Nancy is making sure she gets longer than that. Of course we wanted some tit bits about Sven and Trevor Nunn, she did not disappoint.'

Not that this is her first foray into the theatre, of course.

In 2014 she performed another, similar show - which was mercilessly savaged by critics, including Lyn Gardner at The Guardian.

'She should be doing penance after this inept one-hour trawl around all things Nancy,' she wrote. 'Nancyland is clearly in very close geographical proximity to la-la land. It's a place where you don't have to bother writing and learning a script before you come [to the fringe].

'There may be a show in Nancy's life, but there's just one problem: not a word of it has been written yet.'
