She moved to New York at the age of 17 to pursue her modelling career, and as the holiday season approaches, Shanina Shaik is certainly getting into the Christmas spirit.

The Australian born model stepped out in New York on Saturday to enjoy a hot apple cider as she perused Christmas market stalls. 

Sharing a snap with her 590,000 Instagram followers, the 24-year-old cut a chic figure as she braved the cool Autumn weather, warming her hands with her festive beverage.

Looking sophisticated as ever, the exotic glamazon of Australian, Lithuanian, Pakistani and Saudi Arabian descent was dressed for the cold in an all-black ensemble.

Giving just a peak of her slim legs from underneath black sheer stockings, the green-eyed beauty paired a button-up skirt with over-the-knee suede boots. 

She layered appropriately, with a tie-up biker jacket over the top of a printed top, with her midnight-coloured locks draped casually over her shoulders.

Nearly two weeks ago, the raven-haired beauty stepped out at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, her fourth time appearing in the coveted lingerie runway.

At the event in New York City she sported a lace corset featuring flowing frills from the bodice which fell over her slender figure.

She also rocked a pair of multi-coloured cellophane butterfly wings.

Before taking to the runway, Shanina revealed to KIIS FM's Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson that the girls eat breakfast, lunch and dinner while backstage at the event.

'We need to keep our energy up so it’s important that we do eat,' she explained.

She later divulged to Channel Seven's Sunrise: 'I like to eat a lot of protein and vegetables, (and) drink lots of water...I love my food, I love chocolate, I like ice cream, so I’ll eat it every now and then.'
