She works hard as an actress with a popular TV show, but Claire Danes knows how to play hard, as well.

The 32-year-old actress started off her weekend right with a day of complete indulgence yesterday.

She appeared sleepy and disoriented as she exited an underground foot massage parlour in New York City's Soho district with a friend.

The rubdown must have been pretty fabulous, as the Homeland star could barely open her eyes.

Later, the make-up free star enjoyed a shopping trip with her female pal.

She couldn't resist smiling after one specific purchase, however.

The actress carried a huge bottle of tequila in a see-through bag, making her purchase visible to all and sundry.

At least she looked New York chic during her shopping expedition, wearing a long black winter coat, pink skinny jeans and black booties.

She later covered her light blonde locks with the hood of her coat.

It's great that Danes finally allowed herself to relax after the busy few months she's had as of late.

She recently garnered the 2012 Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series.

Her Showtime series, Homeland, has been renewed for a second season which will premiere on September 30.

She plays Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer who believes that a US Marine threatens the United States as a traitorous prisoner of war.
