Isn't she wonderful! First picture of Gal Gadot in highly anticipated film Wonder Woman is revealed along its star-studded cast
It is taken a long time to get to this point but DC Comic fans can rejoice as after 75 years arguably one of the best female superheroes is getting her own gig.
On Saturday actress Gal Gadot celebrated the official start of filming of Wonder Woman with a sneak peek of the title character herself.
This will be the first time since Wonder Woman landed on the cover of a comic in 1941 that the character will have the spotlight on the big screen.

She has arrived: On Saturday actress Gal Gadot celebrated the official start of filming of Wonder Woman with a sneak peek of the title character herself
While Gal has been seen dressed up as the cult heroine before - she plays Wonder Woman in the yet to be released Batman v. Superman - this is the first time we have seen her on the set of the Wonder Woman-dedicated film.
In the image, Gal wears a black hooded coat which still allows for the 30-year-old star to show off the character's beloved accessories - a gold tiara and a pair of leather armbands.
In the background of the image Big Ben can be seen, as the film is both set in and filming in London with some parts to be shot in France and Italy.

The former Israeli soldier turned actress, captioned the image: 'Almost 75 years in the making… #WonderWoman is underway.'
While principal photography has already started, Saturday is the official production kickoff date and to recognise this Warner Bros. also released more details about who else stars in the film.
Chris Pine will play Wonder Woman's love interest, Captain Steve Trevor.
Oops! Fans already got a look at what Chris Pine looks like along with Said Taghmaouiafter after Said posted an image of the two men before he was presumably made to delete it
Adding to the list: The trio are being joined by Robin Wright, Harry Potter's David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Trainspotting star Ewan Bremner as well as indie-darling Lena Anaya and Office star Lucy Davis

In the snap of the two men in costume it is clear that the piece will be period one, set around the time Wonder Woman was first conceived in the Forties.
Debut: The character got her first cover in December 1941 in the January 42 dated issue
Warner Bros. has also released who else will star in the film when it is released in 2017.
These include Robin Wright, Harry Potter's David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Trainspotting star Ewan Bremner as well as indie-darling Lena Anaya and Office star Lucy Davis.
While they will play in the film is still being kept under wraps.
While Nicole Kidman was rumoured to play Wonder Woman's mother Hippolyta looks like she may have not come on board after all with that role seeming to be a good fit for Robin.
The film is being directed by Monster's Patty Jenkins and she will be the first woman to direct a comic book super hero film.
Originally the film was meant to be directed by Michelle MacLaren but she was reportedly dropped due to creative difference.
Getting Wonder Woman, even though she is a well-known character, to the big screen has been a long battle.
Believe it or not Gal's portrayal in Superman v. Batman will be the character's big screen debut.
Since 1996 there have been many attempts to bring the character to the screen with Sandra Bullock even linked to the role, another film was proposed in 2005 with Colbie Smulders mentioned before Christina Hendricks was thrown in the mix.
TV star: Lynda Carter starred on a television version of Wonder Woman and is seen here in 1976
George Miller also almost brought Wonder Woman to the screen in 2008 with film Justice League Mortal, with Australian model Megan Gale in the role.
The Writers Guild Strike put an end to that movie and Megan's big Hollywood break.
For most people the only time they have seen Wonder Woman in any capacity is on the small screen with Lynda Carter as the superhero, whose alter ego is Diana Prince.
Did not make it: George Miller also almost brought Wonder Woman to the screen in 2008 with film Justice League Mortal, with Australian model Megan Gale in the role, but the film was scuttled during the big Writers Guild Strike
