Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine, Whitney admitted: ‘Officially it has just ended, but in my eyes it was weeks ago, when we started on the communal level. It’s tough going through a break-up, and especially having to explain that to the other person.
The 29-year-old continued: 'He was upset and I was upset, but I think we both understood it was coming to an end. We both knew it was going to happen because I wasn’t happy for a little while’.
Opening up about Andrew’s tearful moments on the show, she admitted that while she did not have a problem with the 29-year-old wearing his emotions on his sleeve, at times she did want him to ‘man up a bit and take control.’

The duo put on a friendly display at the auction on Saturday as they found out exactly how much their three-bedroom Melbourne apartment would sell for.
Whitney and Andrew, who fired their builder only a few days before their apartment was scheduled to be finished, chose a neutral colour palette for their apartment's design.
The pair used real timber flooring throughout the space, and kept the walls consistently painted either white or grey to appeal to a wider group of buyers.

Inside the kitchen, the former couple featured a white-painted exposed brick wall, built-in stainless steel fridge and oven, and a timber drawers set with a marble counter.
The living room design was well-thought out with a grey L-shaped couch positioned towards the wide windows, and a flat screen TV discreetly set up inside a wall.
The final auctions will be aired when The Block screens on Channel Nine on Wednesday night.
