She's known for singing songs about heartbreaking love but these days Adele's love life is like a classic fairy tale.

The 27-year-old songstress opened about her relationship with longterm beau Simon Konecki during an interview with 60 Minutes on Sunday, admitting their romance is 'the ultimate love story.'

'Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now, that's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love,' she revealed.

'I know that sounds a bit like I'm trying to write a Hollywood movie but it's only because of him and our kids and stuff that I'm all right,' she said of Simon, 38, who has a daughter from his first marriage.

When asked if it was 'the ultimate love story' by host Liz Hayes, Adele said: 'I guess it is.'

The hitmaker was then asked how the love story would end, to which she replied: 'Hopefully forever after.'

She also revealed that Simon is a big fan of her new album 25, which was released on Friday.

'My boyfriend loves it and that was the real test,' she said, admitting a few of the songs were about him.

When asked by Liz Hayes 'So, is he in your songs?' Adele replied, 'He doesn't sing in them, but, yeah, he’s in a couple of ‘em.'

She added: 'He cares about me more than anything but he doesn't care about the style of music that I make and stuff like that, but he just loved it.'

Made for each other: Adele's been dating Simon since 2011, and the couple welcomed their son Angelo in 2012

She added: 'I was like, 'That's my man!''

The chart-topping songstress has been dating the charity entrepreneur since 2011.

She gave birth to their first child, Angelo, in October 2012.

Simon was previously married to stylist Clary Fisher, and the pair share a daughter together.

But with her new album 25 now in stores, the garrulous crooner Brit insists she never courted fame and feels 'uncomfortable' in the spotlight, especially since becoming a mother.

'I'll do anything in my power not to get on stage but I love it afterwards,' she says.

And the star, who was raised in north London's Tottenham, says she partly bowed out of the limelight because she felt 'frightened' by the success of her second album 21.

'It frightened me and got out of control...It grew limbs of its own and did marathon runs,' she said.

This was compounded with becoming a mother for the first time after whihc she lodt her self esteem, she says.

'There was quite a long period where I didn't believe in myself,' the Hello hitmaker revealed.

'I'm waiting for someone to send me back to Tottenham or something...'

The record-breaking songstress also opened up about her fear of not meeting the public's high expectations with her comeback album following the staggering popularity of the 30-million selling 21.

'I get really nervous,' she said, 'I'm scared. I don't want to disappoint them [the fans]... 'It's incredible people are letting me into their lives again.'
