Putting in the leg work! Lupita Nyong'o wears form-fitting mini-dress as arrives to her critically acclaimed play Eclipsed

Lupita Nyong'o made a stylish arrival for her matinee performance of Eclipsed.

The 32-year-old actress mixed uptown chic and downtown trendy for her night on the stage in New York on Sunday..

Her performance as a 15-year-old orphan girl in the off-Broadway production has garnered rave reviews.

The Mexican-born beauty began with a monochromatic look, sporting a black hat, top and skirt. 

For pops of color, she wrapped a red and gold scarf around her neck before throwing on a red and black plaid overcoat.

She garnished her ensemble with simple studded earrings, dark ankle boots, round aviator shades and a nautical-inspired handbag.

Lupita's currently starring in the off-Broadway production of Eclipsed. The play will make it's move to Broadway early next year.

The production takes place during the Second Liberian Civil War and tells the story of captive wives who bond together, before their newly formed community is shaken by the arrival a new girl. 

Lupita plays an orphan girl who has joined the group in attempts to escape violence.The New York Times raved over the actress over a monologue she performed.

'Ms. Nyong’o delivers this harrowing monologue with a disoriented sense of helplessness and shame that cuts to the bone,' said theater critic Charles Isherwood.

The People's Most Beautiful winner is set to join additional A-list talent in the much-anticipated flick, The Jungle Book.

The Disney animated film stars Scarlett Johansson, Christopher Walken, Idris Elba, and Bill Murray, among others, and is set for release in April of 2016.

That same year, The 12 Years a Slave actress will join Captive star David Oyelowo in Queen of Katwe, a film about a girl training to be a chess champion.

This December, Lupita will join Harrison Ford and Oscar Isaac in the fan-obsessed franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
