Boxing star Manny Pacquiao took a trip to the famous Garden Tomb site in Jerusalem as he continues to enjoy some time off before his next fight.

The 36-year-old, who is a devout Christian, posed for photos with fans as he was given a tour around the rock-cut tomb where Jesus is said to have risen from in his resurrection.

Pacquiao has not competed in the ring since his defeat by Floyd Mayweather Jnr in June earlier this year.

In an interview with Channel 2 published on Friday, 'Pacman' was asked what his favourite city is and immediately responded: 'Jerusalem,' before adding, 'when you're a Christian it's very important.'

Pacquiao has been recognised in recent years as a close supporter of Israel, and even went so far as to name his young son after the country.

Pacquiao has announced that his next bout, his 65th as a professional and which could be his last, will take place on April 9, 2016.

But while a date has been confirmed, the question of who Pacquiao will face is still very much up in the air, with the likes of Amir Khan, Terrence Crawford and even retired Mayweather being touted as potential candidates.

Pacquiao's long-time coach Freddie Roach has suggested that a rematch with Mayweather would generate the sort of big money that would be too good to turn down.
