Almost a clean getaway! Two prisoners accused of making realistic-looking 'gun' from soap and plotting to escape prison

Two prisoners were charged with plotting an escape with the help of a fake gun made from soap and toilet paper on Tuesday.

Troy Benner, 49, was being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux, Louisiana, since February for armed robbery, according to the sheriff's office.

Treiston Pierron, 32, had been there since August on arson charges.

Far from using the sudsy creation to wash up with, authorities believe that the soap gun, which was black and realistic-looking, was going to be their 'weapon' when they made their break for freedom.

Benner had also allegedly stolen a handcuff key after a corrections officer had mistakenly dropped it.

Pierron is accused of having knowledge of Benner's daring plan and assisting him.

Benner has now been charged with attempted escape and his bond raised to $400,000.
