Video shows the moment Dallas high school teacher is attacked by 16-year-old female student she corrected during presentation

A Texas teacher suffered minor injuries when she was attacked in her classroom by a 16-year-old after she corrected the female student while she was giving a presentation at Skyline High School.
The Dallas Independent School District has not named the student or the teacher, but a video that was taken of the incident was posted on Twitter on November 19.
The tweet was captioned: 'Skyline going down the drain so fast bro.'

A student and teacher stood toe to toe before getting in a fight at Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas
In the video, the 16-year-old student (left) used her right hand and slapped her teacher (right) in the face
The teacher pushed back against the girl and they appeared to exchange blows before starting to grapple
In the video, the student and teacher can be seen standing toe to toe and then the girl appears to slap the teacher in the face with her right hand.
After the slap hit home, the teacher and student both appeared to strike each other and then they began to grapple.
Both individuals ended up on top of a desk while other students in the classroom watched in shock.
The teacher said she plans to press charges, according to CBS Dallas.
The Dallas ISD said in a statement: 'Today, a teacher at Skyline High School suffered minor injuries after being assaulted by a student.
'Violence is not tolerated in our schools and the student will face consequences in accordance with our Student Code of Conduct.
'Out of respect for privacy laws relating to both employee matters and student discipline, Dallas ISD will have no further comment on the matter.'
David Lee of the American Federation of Teachers, a group that represents thousands of Dallas teachers, said educators have the right to protect themselves in violent situations, Fox 4 reported.
Lee said: 'Obviously, teachers should use the most restraint possible when dealing with these types of situations, but at the same time, a teacher does not sign away the right to defend themselves if they're assaulted by a student.'
