Not candles this time! Molly Ringwald performs at the Holiday Lighting Ceremony in Beverly Hills
She is more famous for lighting birthday candles.
But on Sunday night Molly Ringwald fired up a lot more than 16 torches at the Beverly Hills Holiday Lighting Ceremony On Rodeo Drive.
The actress was the guest of honour as she switched on the Christmas lights for the upmarket shopping district - although organisers prefer to keep them strictly non-denominational.

The 47-year-old, who has turned her attention to jazz singing in recent years, even performed some songs from her 2013 debut album Except Sometimes.
The 80s screen legend looked fantastic in a shimmering black and gold dress, which she matched with black high-heeled pumps.
Three decades after the John Hughes films that launched her to superstardom, Ringwald's unmistakable smile and short flame-coloured hair have barely changed since the days of The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink and 16 Candles.

Having taking a break from acting after her storming success in her teens, Molly intermittently appeared in various projects over the years, but made a return to the blockbuster scene this year with a roll in Jem And The Holograms.
She recently told People Magazine that her 40s are shaping up to be just as interesting a second chapter in her life.
'It feels really good. I feel like I'm in this new, interesting place,' she said.

'I was always told that things really wouldn't happen for me again until I was in my 40s,' she added.
'It seemed really weird at the time, but I actually think that's true in a way. I feel like I'm entering this really interesting second act.'
Molly also appeared on stage this month at the 15th annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, which benefited the Urban Arts Partnership.
