SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: Johnny Depp's becoming Mickey Rourke! Star shows off his puffy cheeks and waxy complexion at LA premiere
With puffy cheeks and a waxy complexion, Johnny Depp seemed to be turning into Mickey Rourke at the premiere of The Danish Girl in LA.
Rourke, 63, has admitted to botched plastic surgery for boxing injuries in the past.
Depp, 52, recently reprised his role as Captain Jack Sparrow for the fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean film. Time to go easy on the rum?

Umbrellas up! Paxo rains on weathermen's parade
Newsnight's much-missed attack dog Jeremy Paxman once ridiculed his editor’s decision to broadcast weather forecasts over financial reports at the end of the programme, saying: ‘And for tonight’s weather — it’s April, what do you expect?’
Now the University Challenge quiz master is enraged by meteorologists giving storms names such as Abigail and Barney. ‘Don’t get me started — I’ve got very strong views,’ Paxo tells me at the Samuel Pepys exhibition at the National Maritime Museum.
‘It’s absolutely ridiculous. We’ve got a severe case of weather envy because the Americans have hurricane names. What will it be next, “Drizzle Deirdre”?’
He adds, witheringly: ‘The other ridiculous thing weather forecasters do now is adopt this tone a nanny or a nursery teacher might have and say, “It’s going to be cold today — do wrap up warm.” Frankly, p*** off. If it’s cold, I will wrap up”.’
David Cameron is keen to stress how much care his Government takes to ensure foreign aid is well spent, but what about the House of Commons body scrutinising it?
The International Development Committee spent £50,000 on a trip in September. But instead of touring Third World states to gauge the impact our cash is having, the cross-party group headed for Washington and New York — for the launch of a UN summit on alleviating world poverty.
Dressing room drives Darcey up the wall...
Labour and the Tories no longer hold their party conferences in Blackpool after complaints about the quality of the Lancashire resort’s hotels, and now Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell is struggling with her accommodation.
Strictly Come Dancing judge, and the Royal Ballet's former principal dancer, Darcey Bussell is struggling with her accommodation
The Royal Ballet’s former principal dancer posted a picture online of her posing with her long legs on the wall of the dressing room at the Tower Ballroom, which has barely enough room to perform a pirouette, let alone swing a cat.
‘It’s great to be back in my spacious dressing room in Blackpool,’ joked Darcey, who stands at 5ft 7in.
‘Loving it!’
Villagers in Stourpaine, Dorset, were always remarkably discreet as Camilla Parker Bowles conducted her extramarital trysts with Prince Charles at the home of her sister, Annabel.
Yesterday the Duchess of Cornwall, as Camilla now is, returned the favour by opening Stourpaine’s new village hall. A local whispers: ‘This has always been Camilla’s safe haven.’
