When you’re parliamentary assistant to rebel Labour MP Simon Danczuk, duties seem to extend beyond paperwork and diary organising. 

Mr Danczuk, 49, was spotted exercising in a London park on Tuesday being put through his paces by glamorous Nasreen Nazir, 37, his new £30,000-a-year aide. 

It’s a bizarre move for Ms Nazir given that – as The Mail on Sunday revealed last week – she sued Mr Danczuk for sexual harassment a decade ago when he was her boss at a Manchester firm. 

The allegation was later dropped.

However, she and the Rochdale MP, who recently separated from his wife Karen, 32, laughed and joked as they ran side by side, then completed their workout with a series of stretches and a high-five. 

Perhaps Mr Danczuk was getting in shape for an important date elsewhere.

On Wednesday, back in Rochdale, local councillor Claire Hamilton tweeted a picture of herself cuddling up to him with the heading ‘Happy, #love #perfect’. 

And on Friday she posted another selfie, titled ‘Night out in Rochdale with @simondanczuk’.
