Kane stars as rampant Spurs put four past rivals West Ham to narrow gap on Arsenal and Man City in Champions League places

Tottenham 4-1 West Ham: Harry Kane bags a double either side of Toby Alderweireld header

TOTTENHAM 4-1 WEST HAM - NEIL ASHTON AT WHITE HART LANE: When Tottenham play like this they make you want to believe they can break the spell in English football and finish in the top four. At times Maurico Pochettino's team were that good, staying true to the traditions and culture of this club with a stylish performance at White Hart Lane. It is all coming together. Harry Kane and Co swept aside a West Ham team who have beaten Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Crystal Palace on the road this season. Here, they ran into a dead end.

MIKE DICKSON AT THE O2: Somehow you doubt that Novak Djokovic will ever turn the O2 Arena into Belgrade-on-Thames, colonising it in the way Roger Federer does for one week per year. But winning titles is not a popularity contest, and for all that this felt like a mini-Zurich at times, the love of the crowd was not enough to save the 34-year-old Swiss on Sunday night. Over one hour and 20 minutes, the 28-year-old Serb merely emphasised just how superior he is to the rest, by winning the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals with a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the last match of the regular season.

Barcelona humiliation puts Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez on the brink at Bernabeu

Lorient and PSG fans react to Paris atrocity with a Gallic shrug, a party-like atmosphere

JONATHAN McEVOY IN BRITTANY: Two little children, a boy and a girl, each held a dove in the middle of a pitch. Three hundred miles north east of here, in Paris, haunting sirens were said still to be blaring out on its streets, eight days after the horror of terrorist butchery left its mark. But in Lorient, at the Stade du Moustoir, they opened a wooden box that stood between the two children and out flew 11 doves of peace, the last of the day's autumnal sun on their backs. And so sport bared its immortal soul.
