Has Michael and Lindy Klim ended their marriage? Report claims former Olympic swimmer has moved out of couple's home in Bali leaving his wife 'humiliated and distraught'

New Idea magazine have claimed that Michael Klim and his wife Lindy have ended their nine year marriage and the former Olympic swimmer has moved out of their family home in Bali.

The publication says Lindy, the mother of his three children, has been left 'distraught' and 'humiliated' following the split.

They allege that Michael has now moved into his parent's house in Melbourne, as Lindy stays in Bali with their children Stella, nine, Rocco, seven, and Frankie, four.

According to the publication the pair have been going to marriage counselling for two years.

'They have been in relationship counselling for two years now,' a friend is said to have told New Idea.

Daily Mail Australia have reached out to both Michael and Lindy for a comment.

The last time the couple were picture together was at Derby Day on October 31.

The pair put on a happy display, smiling and posing together for photos while Lindy hosted the Mumm marquee in the Birdcage.

Just six weeks ago Lindy posted a picture of herself cuddling one of her daughters on her Instagram page.

It was accompanied by a poignant caption.

'Today is one of those days when all I want is a cuddle from my mama... I can't wait to get home to Bali to be with my kiddies.... Never too old to want your mum... #mum #kids #family,' she wrote.

Rumours began to emerge over the weekend that the pair's marriage was in trouble with sources telling The Herald Sun that the couple were spending more time apart, with Lindy permanently settled in her native Bali while Michael looks after their business in Melbourne.

Last month the couple sat down with Woman's Day to tell of their different way of life, insisting that living between Australia and Bali, where Lindy's uncle is the King of Denpasar, worked for them.

'We’ve been doing the Bali to Melbourne shuffle for about three years now,' said 37-year-old Lindy, who fronts advert campaigns for the couple's skincare brand, Milk & Co.

Adding that her children were happy to grow up in the country where she was raised, Lindy said: 'They get to see people washing in the rivers on their way to school, which is really beautiful.'

In April Lindy talked about the couple's 'unconventional marriage', telling The Daily Telegraph: 'We are very much a non-conventional family and some people really like it and think it is inspiring, but there are people out there that don’t like it.'

Michael and Lindy married in 2006 just three months after the birth of their first child.

The couple have put on a united front on social media in recent weeks, with Olympian Michael posting snaps of his stunning wife just a few days ago.
