Its inventor, Adam Wilber explained: ‘Fire. Since the dawn of time it has been the reward at the end of man's quest.’
‘Both creator and destroyer, it has historically been the element hardest to control’.
Although the device can be owned and operated by anyone, it was specifically designed for those in the entertainment industry and not teenagers who are obsessed with lighting things on fire.
Last year, a magician made it possible for anyone to be a super hero when they released a device, Pyro Fireshooter, that shoots fireballs from your wrist. A second version of the shooter has just been launched, and it is smaller, more comfortable and better-designed than its predecessor
Each device is equipped with a rechargeable battery that can be charged with any standard microUSB cable and shoots out up to 600 shots before needing to be recharged.
In addition to being cheaper, costing $150 compared to $174, it’s also more advanced than last year’s model.
Pyro mini can shoot a fireball up to 40 feet through the air, which is four times further than the original.
There are two main components, a small box with a Velcro band that straps to the wrist and a smaller wireless remote used to trigger a fireball.

The remote has a range of about 30 feet, so the main box can be placed anyway and still respond to the trigger.
It uses so-called Flash Cotton, or Flash Paper that fits inside the barrels.
Flash material is used by magicians to create fast burning flames for tricks.
When lit it burns up with a bright, quick-burning flame that leaves virtually no ash, just a small amount that a magician can hide in their hand.
A heater coil then ignites the material when the button is pressed, forcing the flame to fire from the chambers.
The company has provided instructions on its website that show users how to properly prep and load the flash paper.
A small amount of cotton and flash paper come already loaded in the device’s barrels, which helps users measure how much they need for each before shooting off.

Ellusionist recommends firing the device between 20 and 30 times before strapping it to your wrist, to prevent burning yourself.
As the device’s maker said, ‘This is not a toy.’
‘This is a 'badass' professional device that allows you to launch fireballs from your open palm.’
