Like father like son? It seems that Simon Cowell's son Eric is keen to follow in his father's famous footsteps, as the toddler momentarily took over his judges chair on the X Factor on Friday for a spot of 'practice'
'Getting in some practice': Hopping into one of the judges seats on the set of the ITV show, the 21-month-old was seen avidly watching everything occurring on-stage as 56-year-old Simon looked on proudly
Sharing the image with his 12.5million Twitter users, the music mogul was clearly amused that his son appeared to be so keen on following him into the family business.
Writing alongside the picture of his young son, Simon jokingly wrote: 'Getting in some practice.'
Sat in what appears to be Nick Grimshaw's regular place, the toddler can be seen gazing intently at the stage as the set is prepared for all the weekend's action.
But while Simon may have his fellow judges Nick, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Rita Ora to keep him company on the panel, Eric chose to share his seat with his favourite teddy bear.

Although Simon may one day be joined by his son in the business of making pop stars, it was back to business as usual the next day as he watched Mason Noise depart the X Factor in a shock flash vote.
The handsome wannabe was banished from the show for a second time after receiving the fewest number of public votes.
Co-host Olly Murs delivered the blow live on Saturday's show, which saw the contestants whittled down even further as music bosses aim to find a new star.

'He's exactly the kind of popstar we need, 'I'm not worried about the future of Mason at all': The aspiring superstar's mentor, Nick Grimshaw, was convinced he'd succeed in his dream of being a pop star
The Midlands-born hopeful found himself in the bottom three alongside Anton Stephens and 4th Impact.
'Thank you to everyone who voted, thank you to everyone who didn't vote as well,' he says, fairly diplomatically.
'He's exactly the kind of popstar we need,' added mentor Nick Grimshaw. 'I'm not worried about the future of Mason at all.'
Out: The Midlands-born hopeful found himself in the bottom three alongside Anton Stephens and 4th Impact
Gracious in his exit: 'Thank you to everyone who voted, thank you to everyone who didn't vote as well'
The shock announcement comes after Cheryl Fernandez-Versini revealed on Twitter that one act would lose their spot in the competition.
Making the shock announcement on Saturday night, just one hour before the live show, the petite brunette said that 10 minutes before the end of the show, one act would be voted off.
The 32-year-old has two acts left in the competition, Reggie 'N' Bolie and 4th Impact, but she has certainly been putting in the leg work by dedicating time to them in rehearsals, week after week.
Surprise: Cheryl Fernandez-Versini dropped the bombshell that one act would be eliminated from the X Factor on Saturday night
Trying to survive: Mason tried his best to remain in the competition, but failed despite his efforts
Sexy stuff: Mason oozed sex appeal as he performed with a troupe of female dancers
Cheryl wrote on Twitter: 'SO TONIGHT IS DIFFERENT !!! SOMEBODY WILL LEAVE AFTER 10MINUTES OF VOTING AT THE END OF THE SHOW!! WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER ❤️'
She seemed to leave the London studio with quiet confidence on Friday afternoon, beaming from ear to ear after spending a day with both of her acts.
The star lost her first act Alien Uncovered in the opening weekend of X Factor's live shows but has bounced back with some of the top performances each week.
Bombshell: The star let the secret slip one hour before the show would go live
Working hard: Cheryl was pictured helping her act 4th Impact get to their best, on Friday afternoon
Giving her all: Lauren Murray looked incredible as she belted out her track
Gorgeous: Lauren looked fantastic on the night in her skin tight black outfit
Her lost act heaped high praise on the former Girls Aloud star after they were eliminated, as a testament to her hard work.
Speaking after their exit, the band told breakfast TV show This Morning: 'She really understood us as a group. Obviously we're quite different, not the usual girl group you get, so we were lucky she understood what Alien was about.'
Cheryl has strong competition nonetheless, because Rita Ora, Simon Cowell and Nick Grimshaw also have strong acts left. The theme this week is Love & Heartbreak and the pair's song choices were revealed on Friday afternoon.
Awkward: Tensions reached fever pitch on Saturday's X Factor, when Nick Grimshaw sparked a spat with Simon Cowell and his last-remaining act, Anton Stephens
Too critical? Simon blasted Nick, saying that his comments were misplaced and too harsh
Reggie 'N' Bollie will be getting the audience grooving to a mash-up of Dangerous Love and Shut Up And Dance, by Fuse ODG and Walk The Moon respectively.
4th Impact, meanwhile, will be hitting the high notes for Christina Aguilera's Ain't No Other Man.
However, Mason's exit was the only drama on the show. Tensions reached fever pitch when Nick Grimshaw sparked a spat with Simon Cowell and his last-remaining act, Anton Stephens.
Defensive: Simon took exception to his co-judges and their rather direct comments on Anton
The trio found themselves in an awkward exchange which was broadcast live to the nation.
It came after Anton performed a heartfelt rendition of One Sweet Day, which Nick instantly dismissed as being 'cold'.
'I just wasn't feeling that,' he said, bursting Anton's bubble. 'That wasn't the best track for you. It's a very emotional song and it felt cold. It seemed fake.'
Clearly upset y the comments, Anton snapped back: 'Excuse me, but this is all real. The set and the outfit might be fake, but I am real.'
Like a dog with a bone, Nick hit back: 'That's fine, but I didn't say you were fake - I said I wasn't feeling it. There's no need to be aggressive.'
Adding more tension, Anton retorted: 'I'm not being aggressive, but there's no need to be rude. I gave that everything and it was genuine'.
Intervention: Rita Ora was forced to jump in and try to diffuse the situation before it got worse
Nervous? Anton was reduced to the tears after the exchange, which was broadcast live across the nation
Upset: tension was simmering on the night between Nick Grimshaw and Anton Stephans
As the other judges, Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, also poured scorn on the hopeful's performance, Simon also waded into the debate.
He directly challenged Nick's level of criticism and praised his last-remaining act, but this only cause matters to worsen.
Before long Rita Ora was forced to jump in and try to diffuse the situation before it worsened.
Fortunately, there were other acts to distract from the tension, which included Che Chesterman's impressive opening version of Yesterday, 4th Impact's rendition of Christina Aguilera's Aint No Other Man.

With his boys: Nick looked delighted as he larked around on stage - before the sad news of Mason's departure
Will they survive tomorrow night's eviction? The other acts are hoping to remain on the ITV talent show
Diva behaviour: the show featured plenty of songs by female artists, which commanded big attitudes
Stunning: Louisa Johnson looked sensational in an all white ensemble which showed off her toned stomach
Homesick: The 4th Impact girls seemed upset by the fact they can't be with their parents
All white on the night: The girls showed their sartorial skills were on point in their trouser suits
Standing by her girl: Rita held on to Louisa with all her might
