Nicki Minaj showcases her figure in a pink cut-out gown as she scoops best rap artist and album at AMAs

She may have been scowling as the ceremony began but Nicki Minaj eventually had a reason to smile when she scored two wins at the American Music Awards on Sunday.

The 32-year-old rapper scooped favourite rap artist as well as favourite rap/ hip-hop album for The Pinkprint.

And the star looked suitably rosy as she sported a curve-hugging blush gown with cut-outs at the waist.

She added some bling to the look with gold floral embellishments on her shoulders, sleeves and waist.

Completing the outfit was a pair of platform gold and pink Louboutin heels.

Nicki wore her raven locks down, sleek and straight and sported glossy pink lips.

Taking to the stage to accept her second award of the night, Nicki thanked fellow artists and collaborators Beyonce - who she called 'Queen B', Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and 'my baby' Meek Mill.

Nicki was seen sat next to her boyfriend Meek in the audience and even shared a cheeky snap on Instagram showing the rapper sneak a peek at the Anaconda hit maker's cleavage.

The singer also gave a shout out to Trap Queen hit maker Fetty Wap who she said 'had such an incredible year.'

Unfortunately, Nicki missed out on the gong for artist of the year which went to One Direction.

Meanwhile Jennifer Lopez - whose Las Vegas show launches in January - hosted the show, which aired live from Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater.

The Latina beauty put on a jaw-dropping opening performance and included Nicki's track Anaconda in her medley of some of the year's greatest hits.

The crowd went wild with the exception of Nicki, who looked distinctly unimpressed when the camera panned to her while J.Lo was dancing to the raunchy song.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood and 5 Seconds of Summer were some of the stars who performed at the show.

Chris Martin and his band Coldplay performed the first single Adventure Of A Lifetime off their new album A Head Full Of Dreams, set for release on December 4.
