Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban pack on the PDA as she glides to the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in bird-print gown

Like many in London, Nicole Kidman must be struggling with the dramatic drop in temperatures in recent days.

But on Sunday night, the actress had her husband Keith Urban to keep her warm as they cosied up at The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, in partnership with The Ivy.

Nicole, 48, was joined by the country singer on the star-studded night at The Old Vic theatre in London's Waterloo.

Love's young dream: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban look deep into each other's eyes at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in London on Sunday night

Inseparable: Keith couldn't keep his hands off his statuesque missus as they cuddled up in the cold

After nearly a decade of marriage, the duo were still inseparable as they gazed lovingly into each other's eyes on the red carpet of the star-studded London event alongside Salma Hayek and Kate Beckinsale.

The Moulin Rouge! star looked elegant in a sleeveless bird-print Alexander McQueen gown that fitted her svelte body like a glove.

Nicole, who won Best Actress at the awards, looked incredible in the gown with black eagle detailing and black tassels falling from her thigh.

Her strawberry blonde locks were swept up into a classic up-do with a sweeping fringe and a few curly tendrils framing her face.

The mother-of-four has been starring as scientist Rosalind Franklin in the West End production of Photograph 51 since September.

Wow them in a see through lace dress like Nicole

All eyes were on Nicole Kidman when she stepped onto the red carpet with her husband, Keith Urban, in a stunning gown by Alexander McQueen. The floor length monochrome creation came straight from the Spring 2016 runway.

We adore the high neck silhouette and see through lace design. Nicole's dress even had a bird embroidery and a bit of fringe as it tapped into a number of different trends.

The bird motif has been growing in popularity with brands like Valentino and Rochas incorporating the winged creatures into their Fall collections.

You won't find this exact dress in stores, but you can get the look with our alternatives below. From a subtly sheer design by Karina Grimaldi to an all out masterpiece by Zuhair Murad, all budgets are covered.

Speaking on the red carpet before the ceremony, she said: 'I kind of jumped into it without realising how much I was taking on so halfway through the rehearsals I got real stage fright. To be standing here today is extraordinary and I am so so glad that I did it.

'I did it for my father, who was a scientist - he has been orbiting around this whole thing - and also for Rosalind, who was not recognised in her lifetime. That has been very very important to me.

'Photograph 51 was written by a female playwright about a female scientist so to be able to champion that was an honour and a privilege.'

The Australian actress has often been seen making a demure exit from the Noel Coward Theatre in Central London wearing layers of clothing to protect herself from the winter chill.
