But new mother Lara Worthington (nee Bingle) showed off her sartorial savvy as she ran errands around Sydney on Monday.

The 28-year-old model showcased her svelte post baby figure in a flirty black dress and trendy lace up pointed boots with a coloured tip.

The wife of actor Sam Worthington's stylish outfit consisted of a spagetti strap dress with a hemline that flared out and danced around the knee.

Sporting her new pixie hairstyle, the swimwear model was the epitome of elegance.

Showing off a glowing tan, she tore around the city, phone in hand, as she went about her business shielding her eyes against the glare of the sun in fashionable Prada sunglasses.

Lara appeared deep in conversation on her mobile phone as she ambled her way out of a taxi once arriving at her destination.

After finishing her meeting inside, the Aussie beauty kept her eyes down as she exited the building and strolled down the pavement towards an awaiting friend, who dressed in a coordinating all black ensemble.

Showing off her naturally flawless complexion, Lara opted for minimal makeup, wearing just a dusting of foundation and a slick of mascara for the outing.

On Sunday Lara turned heads as she left Edwards & Co salon in Surry Hills, showing off her freshly-dyed golden tresses, days after swapping her classic bob for a pixie look.

Despite having it dyed just three weeks ago, Lara appeared to boost the colour once again to lift her shorter style.

The longer side of Lara's asymmetrical hairstyle features a heavy fringe which is a much lighter blonde than the shorter side.

Lara’s new cut comes after she revealed the diet she followed to help regain her pre-pregnancy figure.

Back in March, she gave birth to her first child Rocket Zot and managed to snap back into shape after putting on a reported 13 kilograms.

As well as upping her exercise routine, Lara revealed her secret to staying in shape is a strict vegetarian-influenced diet and clean eating.

The blonde bombshell told OK! Magazine exactly what she eats in a day, including green juices and steamed fish and vegetables, saying: 'I feel more energetic, fit and toned.'

The star, who has since changed her last name to Worthington after tying the knot with actor beau Sam Worthington, 39, says her new way of life is 'empowering.'

She added: 'Being consistent is key. I'm a good example of someone who's really trying.'

She and Sam are now largely based in the US with their eight-month-old son, and have been together since September 2013.

They tied the knot in December, and last month confirmed speculation that they married when she called herself a 'wife' to Daily Mail Australia.
