Most people will be better off gradually withdrawing cash from their pension pots rather than buying an annuity to fund retirement - unless they expect to live well beyond 85, according to a new study. Pension pots of £100k-plus should not run dry until you're at least 80 or even older, finds Cass Business School.

MONEY NEWS & ADVICE
HETHERINGTON: HSBC refused to give me a copy of the CCTV tape showing the cash machine that short-changed me - then destroyed it
My husband tapped in a request for £200 at the cash machine, but was short by £40. Another customer counted the notes and agreed the cash was short, and we swapped details. We also counted the notes in front of the bank's closed circuit television camera. But HSBC will not help, citing the Data Protection Act.
Small Swiss bank becomes first to hit savers with negative interest rates - CHARGING them to take their money
Alternative Bank Schweiz told customers they face a -0.125 per cent rate on their money from 2016 - and a -0.75 per cent rate on deposits above 100,000 Swiss francs. It echoes the Swiss central bank's -0.75 per cent negative deposit rate. In September, the Bank of England's Andy Haldane said the UK could one day have to consider negative rates.

MIDAS SHARE TIPS: Profits set to rise 24% as sofa firm ScS bounces back from a slump in sales
Sofa and carpet specialist ScS floated on the stock market in January at 175p. By May, the shares had climbed to 220p, and then the company admitted sales had slumped in recent weeks and profits would be lower than expectations. The group blamed uncertainty ahead of the General Election and warm weather over Easter and the May Bank Holiday. Shareholders took a dim view, the stock sank to 152p and stayed at that low ebb over the summer.

Morrisons bonus bonanza goes on even if sales fall: Boss set to reap multi-million payout as targets are slashed by £2bn
The previous remuneration scheme dictated that a bonus linked to sales would have been payable if sales rose to £15billion by 2017. But the company has now promised to begin paying out bonuses in 2018 if sales stand at just £12.7billion. The company has already consulted major shareholders about the bonus plan. But the decision is likely to reignite criticisms over executive pay at the retailer.
They should have gone to Specsavers: Husband and wife who founded opticians chain 30 years ago share £27m payout
Specsavers founders Dame Mary Perkins and her husband Doug shared a £27.3million dividend in accounts just filed as the opticians chain they founded more than 30 years ago continued to perform strongly. The accounts for the Specsavers UK stores for the year to February 28, 2015 show the dividend was paid to the Guernsey-based parent company, which is jointly owned by the couple.

'Find a demand for your products and get a margin': Tyrells crisps founder delivers his advice for struggling farmers
William Chase, the potato trader who founded Tyrrells crisps and Chase Distillery, has told struggling suppliers and farmers to stop complaining and warned they have no divine right to exist. His comments follow a warning from farmers' leaders that British cucumbers face extinction in the face of cheap imports and supermarket price wars.
YOUR MONEY ESSENTIALS
I'm thinking of going part-time at work: will I still qualify for a full state pension?
It's sensible to consider the impact on your state pension if your work situation changes - you don't want to lose out by making careless and avoidable mistakes. After you reach official retirement age, the state pension will provide a guaranteed income for the rest of your life - a very valuable benefit. The good news is that going part-time won't affect your entitlement to a state pension as long as you still make at least £112 a week, and if not you can make voluntary contributions instead.
Maps show where the most and least new homes are being built (but can you guess whether more flats or houses are being constructed?)
Most of the new private homes being built in the country are in parts of London such as Newham and above the capital's green belt in Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, new figures suggest. Perhaps surprisingly, about a third of new builds are flats - a lower proportion than in the run-up to the financial crash, when flats made up almost half of all new properties being built.
Find out what your MOT DOESN'T tell you: How one woman's costly car problems inspired her to help others discover their car's real history
Entrepreneur Lucy Burnford bought a car that ended up costing her a small fortune in repairs. It led her to co-create Automyze, a 'personal assistant' for your car,' which collates all of its history in one place. Her service now has 500,000 cars registered on the site, which is being rolled out to the AA's four million members.
Is investing set to get cheaper? As the City watchdog probes investment costs we look at what this could mean for your nest egg
Fears that millions of savers are being crippled by high charges for investing have prompted an investigation into the industry by the City watchdog. What will it mean for you? Anyone who invests money through fund managers is affected. However don't think you're not affected just because you're not someone with loads of cash in investments.
The Ford Escort that sold for £60k: Timewarp RS Turbo fetches record price as buyers snap up 1980s icons
An almost unused 1985 Escort RS Turbo Series 1 (pictured) sold for a world record £60,188 at the Classic Motor Show, with other fast Fords also attracting a bidding frenzy. A 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 sold for £90,000 and other fast Fords also kept the auctioneer busy, highlighting how the classic car world has seen prices spiral in recent years.
Wealthy overseas buyers leave the luxury London property market as pound's rise and tax changes bite but British buyers move in
A decline in overseas buyers is being blamed on several factors, including higher stamp duty fees for those with luxury homes. The shortfall has seen domestic buyers return to the London property market. The percentage of property purchases by domestic buyers was 79 per cent during the third quarter, up from 75 per cent a year ago, says agent Marsh & Parsons.
