Hello, it's Miss Piggy! Adele gets the Muppets treatment in hilarious promo during the AMAs

The Miss Piggy character is famous for her diva antics, so it's no surprise that she would want to emulate award-winning songstress Adele.

And she did exactly that in a new promo released on Sunday during the American Music Awards, in which she recreated the video for the 27-year-old's smash hit Hello.

Miss Piggy along with ex Kermit the Frog appeared in their own sepia-toned video, with the famous pig even dressing like the star.

The short clip begins with Miss Piggy dramatically gazing at the camera, while beginning to lip sync to Adele's emotional track.

She has blonde hair, styled just like the performer in the video, and sports a thick overcoat while standing in a scenic wood.

Of course, The Muppets is a quirky comedy series, so unlike Adele's emotional piece, Miss Piggy's video was full of comedic relief.

Belting it out: The famous pig's blonde tresses - styled just like Adele's - blew dramatically in the wind as she hit the chorus of the emotional song in the promo

As she begins to belt out 'hello, from the other side,' a pile of leaves catches in a gust of wind and blows right into the puppet's mouth.

Later, as they recreate a lover's quarrel, as seen in the video, Miss Piggy gets a bit more physical, throwing a kettle and a keyboard at the poor frog as he cowers by the refrigerator while trying to run away.

Miss Piggy wears a similar furry jacket to mimic Adele's look from the video, and can also be seen belting out the hit in the woods as the wind blows around her.

In good company: Kermit also dressed the part, starring in the video as the love interest, played in Adele's original hit video by Tristan Wilds

Kermit could be seen wearing a cable knit sweater in the video, as he tried to replicate the look of Adele's love interest from Hello, who was played by Tristan Wilds.

The clip ends with a chipper Kermit picking up the phone in his office at Up Late with Miss Piggy - the show he works at on ABC's The Muppets - and saying: 'Hello!'

And it's no wonder this was ABC's choice for the AMAs promo, as Adele's melancholy video for her latest powerhouse single was an immediate hit, setting a new record for Vevo.

Poor Kermit: At one point Kermit was pelted with a kettle and a keyboard as the characters recreated an argument from the video
