Leggy Ellie Goulding wears very sexy one-shoulder leather mini with cut-out sections as she leads the Brits at AMAs

She's making waves across the pond with her incredible selection of hits - and all eyes were on Ellie Goulding at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

The 28-year-old looked amazing as she led the British stars on the red carpet wearing a show-stopper of a dress which showed off her toned physique at the Microsoft Theater.

The black one-shoulder leather number was very short in length and had cut-out sections running throughout and revealed she was wearing a tiny nude thong as she flashed her pert posterior.

Each sexy section, which showed off a little flesh, was held in place with a series of gold tubular beads, with a frayed cave-girl style hemline.

Her long sleeve had a fringing detail which added to the drama of the number and she wore a pair of statement heels which gave her some added height.

She wore her blonde locks in a slicked back fashion on the night, despite not personally winning an award on the night.

Taking care: Using her hand, she made sure she didn't reveal too much in the miniscule number as she took to her seat

Her ex-boyfriend, American electronic artist Skrillex was also present, although they were not pictured together.

Other British stars who attended the awards were One Direction, with the band picking up Best Group or Duo, as well as the coveted Artist Of The Year gong, as well as performing on the night.

Coldplay also performed on the night, with singer Chris Martin also giving his all as he belted out his hit at the front of the stage.

He was not present on the night due to other commitments, but took to Twitter to write: 'Fanks for the AMA award and congrats to everyone else.'

Fellow Brit and Bond singer Sam Smith was also nominated for the same gong, but also did not attend.
