Finally, some alone time! Daniel Craig enjoys a romantic stroll with wife Rachel Weisz after gruelling Spectre promo tour comes to an end

After weeks of jet-setting, endless interviews and premieres, Daniel Craig is finally able to relax with his wife Rachel Weisz.

And although her own busy schedule is kicking off for her new film Youth, the couple managed to get some alone time as they spent quality time together in New York on Monday.

With New York's temperatures now well into winter, the acting pair wrapped up warm as they were spotted out and about in downtown Manhattan.

Oscar winner Rachel, 45, looked cosy in a pair of skinny jeans, suede ankle boots, heavy coat, scarf and beanie hat.

Meanwhile her husband Daniel for going for a more casual look in jeans, trainers and a navy coat.

With his flat cap and glasses, the 47-year-old looked a world away from his suave James Bond character.

Their appearance came after Rachel attended a screening of her new film Youth in New York on Friday.

In an interview to promote the film, the mother-of-one admitted she had wet hands when she met Princes Harry and William at the royal gala premiere of Spectre in London last month.

She told US TV host Jimmy Fallon: 'I'd gone to the loo and I just was washing my hands and the guy in charge of the princes was like; "The prince is coming! The prince is coming!" so I didn't have time to dry my hands.

'So I ran to the spot... and I curtseyed and I said, "Oh good evening, your Royal Highness. It's such a pleasure to meet you. I'm sorry my hands are wet, I just washed them and I didn't have time to dry them". I was a mess.

Nab a floral maxi like Rachel

Her husband may have been the star of the evening, but at the Spectre premiere in London, Rachel Weisz certainly held her own in the sartorial department. The British actress stunned in an Alexander McQueen floor-length floral gown with matching clutch and, although hiding behind her husband in some snaps, we couldn't take our eyes off this frock..

McQueen can do no wrong in our book. Rachel's dress hails from the spring collection, a parade of "romance, beauty, positivity, flowers blooming," according to designer Sarah Burton. The collection was also meant to conjure up images of old clothing, slightly yellowed or faded with age as a reaction to today's obsession with fast-fashion.

While ultra feminine, Rachel's exact dress also features boning in the shape of a corset, a nod to the label's naughty history. And notice the signature skull clasp on her floral clutch: these are contrasts that always make McQueen so compelling.

Sadly, we have to wait until next year to nab this dress, but click right to check out the current McQueen collection at Net-A-Porter.

Alternatively, see below, because we've plucked floral-printed maxis from Nordstrom Rack, Lulu's and Shoptiques.

'And he looked at me and said, "Well, at least they're clean."'

Daniel and Rachel wed in a small ceremony in New York in June 2011 after a whirlwind seven month courtship.

The actress has a nine-year-old son Henry with American film-maker Darren Aronofsky, who she split from in 2010 after nine years together.

Meanwhile, Daniel is father to daughter Ella, 23, with ex-wife Fiona Loudon, who he divorced in 1994.
