The songstress sang Piaf's Hymne a l'Amour on Sunday night as a montage of Paris landmarks played behind her in the tribute to the 130 lives lost in the November 13 terror attacks. As the grand finale neared Celine's voice soared for one final incredible note as an image of the Eiffel Tower lit up in the French flag's colors displayed behind her. Multiple guests of the American Music Awards were shown wiping away tears as they watched Celine's powerful performance. She was introduced by Jared Leto, who paid tribute to a friend who was killed in the Bataclan concert hall on the night of the attacks. Leto then told the audience the 'entire world matters' before he seemed to hint at the Syrian refugee crisis when he reminded the audience that Steve Jobs and President Obama were the children of immigrants.
Judge blasts social workers for LYING under oath and doctoring a report as part of an attempted 'cover-up' over the future of five children taken away from their parents
At Portsmouth family court, Judge Mark Horton said there had been a 'deliberate and calculated' alteration to the dossier and changes improved the case for removing the children from their parents. The original report of the parents, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had contained 'positives and negatives' and had been balanced. Proceedings started more than two years ago and the children, aged between three and 16, are currently living with foster parents as part of an interim agreement. Social workers for Hampshire County Council wanted them to stay in foster care but their parents wanted them returned to their care.

BATTLE AGAINST ISIS: AFTERMATH OF PARIS TERROR
Belgian police open fire on motorist who tried to ram them during terror raids as 16 people are arrested across Brussels - BUT world's most wanted is still on the loose and 'on his way to Germany in a BMW'
Central Brussels, usually bustling on a Sunday evening, was virtually deserted, with police and troops on patrol. Belgian police opened fire on the driver of a vehicle during raids targeting terror suspects across the city last night in which 16 people were arrested. Authorities raided 19 properties in the coordinated police operation, arresting 16 people who are set to appear before a judge today. The prosecutors office said it was during a raid on a snack bar in Molenbeek that the man drove at police, who opened fire on his vehicle.
Now that really does cost a packet! Couple ordered a 24-piece dinner set from Tesco who delivered it in 48 separate boxes and five items still arrived smashed
Joanne and Billy Murphy, from Greater Manchester, were left with a mountain of cardboard in their living room after their new dinner set was delivered in 48 separate boxes. The couple were mystified as to why every plate, bowl and mug they had ordered from Tesco was packed in their own individual box, which were then placed inside even bigger ones. The pile of boxes took up so much space the family could not see their living room floor once they had unwrapped all the items from the 24-piece set. Despite the careful packing, four bowls and a mug were smashed in the delivery.
England striker Jamie Vardy hasn't spoken to his parents for a year and they won't be going to his wedding due to a family feud over his fiancée
The striker's career has never been better, with him scoring in his tenth consecutive game at the weekend and his Leicester City team sitting top of the Premier League. But behind the scenes, the player has not spoken to his parents for over a year due to an apparent row over his fiancée Becky Nicholson. His father Phil says he and Vardy's mother Lisa will not be going to the ceremony planned for next year.

Freemasons fixed inquiry into Titanic to protect Establishment, claims secret archive that lists two million members - including Winston Churchill - and reveals secretive group of elites ruled society for 200 years
The investigation into the 1912 Titanic tragedy that left 1,500 people dead cleared almost all of those involved. An archive of two million names of members from 1733 to 1923 is set to be published. While the Masonic connections of figures such as Sir Winston Churchill (bottom left), Oscar Wilde (second from left), Lord Kitchener (right), Rudyard Kipling (second from right) and Edward VIII are known, the records offer the first comprehensive view of the reach of Freemasonry at the height of the British Empire. Experts believe it could lead to a re-examination of almost 200 years of British history, revealing the scale of Masonic influence at all levels of British society when the UK was one of the world's most powerful countries.
The man and wife who became WIFE and wife: Couple to renew their wedding vows after husband comes out as a transgender woman called Melissa (and this time BOTH of them will wear wedding dresses)
Amy Frary from Norfolk had been with her husband Gary (pictured inset on their wedding day in 2013) for nearly a decade, but had no idea he had struggled with gender identity issues since the age of 12. When Gary came out to her in March, telling her he wanted to be known as Melissa, Amy (with Melissa, left) felt shocked and rejected, but having built a life with her husband, she tried to understand what he was going through. Now the couple (pictured right with their daughter Laila, eight, and Amy's son Sam, 16) are happier than ever before, and are even planning on renewing their wedding vows next year.
Prince George gets his first set of wheels: Royal tot loves driving his £100 toy tractor around the lanes of his Norfolk home as Duchess of Cambridge reveals he is 'obsessed' with combine harvesters
The miniature tractor, right, costs £100 and is from agricultural company, John Deere, which holds a royal warrant to supply his grandmother, the Queen, with farm and garden machinery. The bright green and yellow plastic toy has a front loader and tipping digger bucket. The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, last week revealed that her firstborn, left, is 'obsessed' with tractors, as well as combine harvesters and anything with 'big wheels'.

Haunting pictures show half-built remains of Polish nuclear power station - 25 years after construction was abandoned in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster
The Zarnowiec facility (main), in northern Poland, was supposed to be the country's first nuclear power station - but it was never completed because of a public outcry after the Chernobyl disaster. Pictures show deep chambers filled with water (bottom right) - making it dangerous for visitors - and trees and bushes growing up around its crumbling walls (left). Motorcyclist Laurens Corijn stumbled across the power plant whilst on a road trip through Europe.
THE WORLD AT A GLANCE
Smile of a killer: Surrounded by children, Oscar Pistorius grins at his 29th birthday party as he awaits murder appeal verdict
The paralympian, who is under house arrest at uncle's mansion in Pretoria, South Africa, was pictured with 10 young cousins at his 29th birthday party (left). His aunt Lois uploaded the photo of the shamed sprinter's family party onto Twitter. Pistorius has been keeping a low profile since his release amid criticism of his 'light' sentence for shooting dead girlfriend Reeva on Valentine's Day 2013. He was released from prison in October after serving less than a year, just one fifth of his sentence, and will serve the rest under house arrest. Pistorius has been seen only twice since his release - once when he attended community service (right) and again in a selfie shared by friend, rugby player Brett Sharman (inset).
