Chris Evans has been pictured test driving a 200mph McLaren car with Formula One driver Jenson Button during the first glimpse of filming for the hotly-anticipated new version of Top Gear.
The 49-year-old presenter was seen laughing with Button in a bright green McLaren 650S Spider on the BBC motoring show’s test track at the Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey.
And fans of the long-running programme will be delighted to see that the show's legendary driver The Stig was also spotted on set in full costume during filming last Wednesday.

The Radio 2 DJ has signed a three-year contract for the new series of Top Gear, and there will be two series of the show, each consisting of eight episodes, with the first airing in May 2016.
Last month he hinted that there may not be co-hosts with him at all times throughout the new show, in a departure from the old format featuring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
Evans said taking over the show was 'formidable' and admitted: 'It’s the biggest job I’ve ever had in my life.' He said he was ‘terrified’, adding: ‘If you’re not then you’re not the right person for the job.'
Evans got hold of the show after the BBC refused to renew Clarkson's Top Gear contract following a ‘fracas’ that saw him punch producer Oisin Tymon at a hotel in North Yorkshire in March.

Mr Tymon was allegedly subjected to an 'unprovoked physical and verbal attack' by Clarkson, who signed up to launch a lucrative rival programme to Top Gear on Amazon earlier this year.
Clarkson will be joined on the programme by his Top Gear co-presenters, Hammond and May, as well as producer Andy Wilman. The show will air in 2016 and filming is currently underway.
Evans said last month that the new Top Gear is ‘going to do things differently, because we have to, we want to’. Earlier this year, he called on Top Gear fans to send in short audition clips, with the aim of finding presenters to join him.
As a fan of the show over the years, he thinks he has seen up to 90 per cent of Top Gear episodes.
