She faced an awkward encounter on the red carpet when she bumped into One Direction’s Harry Styles.

But a few hours later, Gigi Hadid brushed the embarrassment aside as she headed to Justin Bieber's American Music Awards after-party, held at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood on Sunday night.

Looking stylish as ever, the blonde beauty poured her slender curves in a sexy black ensemble, consisting of a skimpy bralet and a figure-hugging pencil skirt.

She styled her party getup with a separate neck tie, while elongating her statuesque frame with an envy-inducing pair of laced-up heels.

Her sighting comes as TMZ revealed that the American star is being blackmailed by phone hackers. 

The publication claims hackers are threatening to release and sell photos and videos from Gigi's iCloud.

The newly winged Victoria's Secret Angel has reportedly contacted law enforcement and hired a private security company to find the culprits as she wants them prosecuted.

Elsewhere, for the actual music event, the striking model turned heads in a very revealing white number, which featured a cleavage-bearing opening down the middle of the top held together by string.

Gigi, who acted as a presenter during the night’s proceedings, also wore a long flowy skirt complete with a thigh-high split, showing off her mile-high legs in all its glory.

The television personality accessorised the look with blinged out earrings including one long, intricate one going down her left ear as she held on to a metallic white clutch.

The event held at the Microsoft Center is an gala held since 1973 that awards music's biggest and brightest stars.

But it was a cringe-worthy moment for the star when she was introduced to 1D's Harry live on TV.

The British lothario smiled as enthusiastic red carpet host Giuliana Rancic brought Gigi onto the camera with him.

'Have you met before?' she asked in her typically chirpy fashion, finishing up her One Direction interview.

'Do you guys know Gigi Hadid? Do you wanna welcome her up? Come on Gigi,' continued Giuliana. 'Have you guys met before? Have you ever met One Direction before?'

Gigi looked very lukewarm, confirming that she had indeed met the band, and giving a half-smile as she shook Harry's hand.

He stood aside as she warmly embraced his bandmates Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, giving them each a kiss and hug.

Harry let his true feelings show as he bit his lip, before touching Gigi's arm in farewell as he moved out of the camera's way.

Her reaction to Harry is perhaps more understandable if you look at Harry's colourful dating history.

Amongst his many conquests are both Taylor Swift, and Kendall Jenner - at least if you believe the headlines.

Harry linked to model Kendall earlier this year, while he dated Taylor for around three months months way back in 2012. 

After a series of romantic outings, he abruptly ended things after what is said to have been an explosive argument, inspiring her song Out Of The Woods.

The Late Late Show host teased Harry and dropped some not-so-subtle remarks, by saying: ‘So I’m reading the lyrics and I happen upon, a line, and this line says “and if you’re looking for someone to write your break-up songs about, baby I’m perfect”.

‘Now listen, listen I don’t want to have any Bad Blood about this, and if this is a problem and we don’t want to talk about it, we can just Shake It Off! Who’s the song about?'
