  • The Eendracht Aalst midfielder watched on as his team scored in 3-1 win
  • But club and player could be fined between €60 and €350 for his exploits

Playing with 10 men is usually a disadvantage but for Belgium Third Division side Eendracht Aalst, it proved the opposite when one of their players relieved themselves during a recent match.

Eendracht Aalst were playing KFC Izegem in a league tie when Philippe Janssens decided he could no longer hold it in and made his way towards a fence behind the goal his side were attacking.

The midfielder then took a leak as the opponent's goalkeeper prepared to take a goal kick - but little did he know his team would soon attack the goal.

After KFC Izegem keeper Leandro Depaepe took the goal kick, he then turned round to see what his rival was doing before realising what he was up to.

The visitors soon regained possession and went on the attack - which led Janssens to stop what he was doing while he watched his team score.

Eendracht Aalst scored a simple tap-in, with the midfielder witnessing the goal, before he returned to his business behind the goal.

But it could prove costly for both club and player after it emerged they could be fined between €60 and €350 for his exploits, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.

The visitors secured a 3-1 victory over their amateur rivals thanks to goals from Wim Bokila, Jonas Bogaerts and Niels Martin at the Stedelijk Sportstadion.
