She's faced criticism over her latest role as co-presenter on the X Factor in recent weeks.

After receiving a stream of comments on social media criticising everything from her weight to her outfit choice, the X Factor host had clearly had enough.

Defending herself from the cruel comments, Caroline wrote: 'It's very easy to take a shot at someone online. The vile comments about my weight and just all round look tonight are quite shocking.'

Adding: '[I] have never said I'm the prettiest or thinnest or even anything special. But thank God I'm not horrible. Cool attitudes.'

It appears that some members of the public took exception to the Love Island host's outfit on the night, with many commenting on her weight.

On user wrote: 'Either Caroline Flack is preggars or she had a big meal before the show #XFactor.'

While another asked: 'Is it me or has Caroline Flack ballooned in weight on #XFactor.'

Waiting till after the show to respond, Caroline's comments came after this weekend's shows saw Mason Noise and Anton Stephans axed from the show.

Not letting it get to her: Despite criticism over her skills as a presenter on the show, the former Strictly Come Dancing star has remained relatively silent, but she spoke out on Sunday night about body shaming

'Ballooned': Many users took a swipe at the Love Island host over a variety of topics, but one of the main topics to slam the star over appeared to be her weight

Anton sang I Can't Make You Love Me, which seemed appropriate as the judges voted three to one to send Che Chesterman through after a tense sing-off.

The former backing singer for the likes of Tina Turner, who will still join the X Factor live tour, thanked the judges and fans, saying: 'I have had the time of my life, I'm having the time of my life. This is the most wonderful experience and thank you everyone.'

While the outspoken Mason, who left the show on Saturday after a shock public vote, said: 'I've loved it. Thank you to everyone who voted and thank you to everyone that didn't vote.'

Girl Group 4th Impact, Lauren Murray, Louisa Johnson and Reggie 'N' Bollie went straight through to join Chesterman on Saturday's show when they will sing two songs, including one chosen by viewers in a twitter vote.
