Vicki Gunvalson suspects Brooks Ayers swallowed eye drops to make him sick to fake chemo side-effects
Vicki Gunvalson says that her ex boyfriend Brooks Ayers may have swallowed eye drops as part of his ruse to convince people he has cancer.
The Real Housewives Of Orange County cast member witnessed the businessman vomiting for days as a result, he said, of chemotherapy treatment for non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
Brooks confessed this month he'd faked medical documents he produced as 'proof' he was genuinely ill and Vicki says in a new interview with Bravo host Andy Cohen, she's still struggling to understand the scope and breadth of his deceit.

Still speaking out: Vicki Gunvalson has said her ex boyfriend Brooks Ayers may have taken eye drops to make himself ill as part of his plan to dupe her into thinking he was having chemotherapy treatment for cancer
'He had to fabricate this lie all the way prior to filming. Because he got diagnosed in September/October of 2014,' Vicki says in a preview for Monday night's special edition of Watch What Happens Live.
'We are now in November of 2015,' she goes on. 'So this lie had to be fabricated and thought out way before filming.'
When Andy brings up the fact that she shad said she saw her ex suffering the side effects of chemotherapy, the reality star revealed her theory.
One on one: The Real Housewives Of Orange County sits down for an interview with Bravo's Andy Cohen on Monday's Watch What Happens Live special
Duped? The 53-year-old said in a promo for the episode that she had expended a great deal of time and money on the businessman in hopes of a cure
Andy talks tough: Bravo has said RHOC fans will finally get the truth from Vicki about what she knew and when she started to get suspicious about Brooks' illness, and she'll apologize to her reality co-stars
'I actually contacted a couple of people and they said you can actually take eye drops and it can make you violently ill,' she said.
'I don't know if he did that - that's pretty sick - but I witnessed him with fevers and night sweats and chills.'
Brooks, for his part, continues to insist he does have cancer.
Vicki said Brooks dropped 42 pounds in three months and that she cannot believe he may have been faking everything.
'I mean, the extent of what I did for this man, to cure him, is ... I can't even tell you. Time and money and time and money I spent on him,' she said.
Under siege: 'This lie had to be fabricated and thought out well before filming,' Vicki said. She split from Brooks in August after about four years together
In promoting the sit-down interview between Vicki and Andy, Bravo is promising the Real Housewives star will apologize to the other RHOC cast members and reveal when she started having doubts about her ex.
Brooks recently admitted he had faked medical records from cancer hospital City of Hope after the hospital revealed he was never a patient there.
In a statement he put out on November 11, he apologized for his actions, which he said Vicki knew nothing about.
'Words cannot express the deep regret that I have in fabricating documents to 'prove' to the world that I, in fact, have cancer. What I did was wrong and inexcusable,' he said.
The couple, who had dated for about four years, called time on their relationship in August.
True or not true? Brooks' cancer battle was a main plot line for season 10 of Real Housewives Of Orange County after he shared his diagnosis in a January episode. The exes are pictured together in July 2014
Brooks revealed on a January episode of RHOC that he'd been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma and since his forgery confession, his former girlfriend has tried hard to defend herself.
Cast member Heather Dubrow has said she wasn't surprised by the revelations, as she and her co-stars have never really believed he has the disease.
She also queried just how much Vicki knew about her ex-boyfriends condition, saying: 'She feels victimized.
'She feels all she did was love a man and he duped her'.
Heather added that to her, the inconsistencies in Vicki's story during this season 'prove that's not exactly the case.'
The Watch What Happens Live One-on-One with Vicki Gunvalson will air tonight Monday at 8:30/7:30c.
Something to hide? Vicki's co-stars on the reality series have been skeptical about Brooks having cancer and Heather Dubrow, pictured, is still questioning how much Vicki knew about what was going on
