Their 12-year-old daughter Makyleigh is hospitalized in critical condition
Police identified Barry Kirk, 50, as the suspect and said he knew the family and lived across the street
Kirk was shot by three officers after giving chase near the home and later died from his injuries on Monday night

Four people, including a suspect, are dead and a child in critical condition after a family was shot in their Ohio home, according to authorities.

John Anderson, 31, his wife Christina, 30, and son Landon, 7, were killed in their Columbus home on Monday.

The Anderson's 12-year-old daughter Makyleighwas also shot and has been hospitalized.

Police identified the suspect as Barry Kirk, 50, and said he knew the family, according to WSYX 6.

Three officers shot Kirk, who lived across the street from the family, after he fled the couple's home in the Hilltop neighborhood and ran toward his own house.

Kirk was taken to a nearby hospital where he died Monday just before 8.30pm. He was struck multiple times.
