Lady Gaga rocks racy fishnets with a punky leather jacket as she emerges from recording studio in the early hours... after wowing on the red carpet at the BFAs

It was a big night for Lady Gaga, as she joined stars of Hollywood and the fashion elite at the British Fashion Awards earlier in the evening.

But turning up the glamour on the red carpet at an event is never likely to stop a true artist from working hard on her craft, as proved when the superstar singer was seen emerging from a recording studio in London hours later.

The 29-year-old was seen leaving a studio at an eye-watering 4.30am on Tuesday morning, after having put on a stunning sartorial showing at the glitzy awards ceremony on Monday evening.

Showing she's never one to rest on her style laurels, she rocked a typically edgy ensemble for her late-night foray into music making.

The US star showed off a lot of leg in her rock-chick look, teaming fishnet tights with what appeared to be a black leotard worn over the top, with just a black sweater tied around her waist to keep her bottom half covered.

While showing off her stunning toned pins in the racy hosiery, teamed with towering lace-up ankle boots, Lady Gaga wrapped up against the early morning chill with a punky badge-covered black leather jacket.

And, despite the darkness, she rocked a pair of cool black shades on her face, no doubt to hide the fatigue of working through the night.

The American Horror Story star had kept her peroxide blonde locks swept up in the same style she had worn them in earlier in the evening at the British Fashion Awards.

Lady Gaga - who landed in the UK at the weekend - had put on a truly stunning and typically unique display at the star-studded awards ceremony at the London Coliseum.

The singer-turned-actress oozed confidence as she sashayed down the red carpet in her classic scarlet Tom Ford gown with a stylish twist.

Gaga looked incredible in a form-fitting, sequin embellished gown with a daring thigh-high split running up the right hand side.

The star, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, stayed true to form by ensuring she stood out from the crowd thanks to red net detailing on the bodice and matching fingerless gloves.

The glamorous gown was set off with a pair of red satin peep-toe heels and a smart burgundy clutch bag.

The diva added some extra glamour thanks to a pair of silver earnings and matching diamante jewels on her eyelids.

The Born This Way chart-topper wore her icy blonde locks pulled back in a bun with a bouffant quiff and kept the rest of her make-up look neutral.

Later in the evening, the modern icon revealed she had another ravishing red dress in her collection, as she rocked a second look of the night.

This new scarlet garment hugged neatly to her slender curves, complete with long sleeves and sharp, accentuated shoulders and a split up the thigh.

Although it was a night of fun for Gaga, she was also there for a good reason, as she attended to pick up the Red Carpet prize on behalf of absent designer Tom Ford.

Gaga recently confessed that she was feeling happier than ever since joining the cast of popular franchise American Horror Story alongside the likes of Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson and Matt Bomer.

Speaking toThe Sun recently, Lady Gaga admitted that although she still takes medication for anxiety and depression, she has been coping a lot better since she joined the hit TV show.

She said: 'I’m an actress now and that helps a lot. I’ve tried to get off [my medication], but my doctor always tells me not to, that it’s not safe for me.

'I’m a Stefani-Gaga hybrid and I want you to know the real me.'
