An amicable split! Renowned Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman files for divorce from husband of 31 years Michael Skloff

The Friends finale was all about true love.

But apparently there may not be a similar happy ending for Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman.

According to TMZ, the 59-year-old showrunner is divorcing her husband of 31 years Michael Skloff.

The now ex-couple filed for divorce on Wednesday, and interestingly filed their settlement papers at the same time, ensuring there wouldn't be any turmoil after the split.

Marta, who co-created the legendary show Friends with David Crane, is purportedly worth over $200 million and TMZ alleged there was no prenup.

Ex Michael isn't exactly destitute himself however, as he composed the famous theme song for the sitcom.

Additionally, the pair have three children, Hannah, Sam and Rose, but they're all adults, so there is no possibility of an ugly custody dispute either.

It seems Marta will have a lot to keep her busy regardless, as her Netflix hit Grace and Frankie was renewed for a second season earlier this year.

The show, which stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, is a comedy following two rival wives who discover a strange connection through their husbands.

Over the summer The Wrap covered Kauffman as she attended the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour panel to discuss her transition into the world of streaming from that of network television.

‘It’s such a different situation, because ratings are connected to advertisers’ she said, referring to the network model.

‘There are no advertisers on Netflix. And I think you’re hoping that I’ll say “It’s frustrating” but the truth is, it’s wonderful, because there’s only one thing we’re doing — we’re not pandering to advertisers, we’re not pandering to a network, all we’re doing is making the show we want and that we believe in.’
