He's been a single parent to daughter Dannielynn following the untimely death of Anna Nicole Smith back in 2007.

But Larry Birkhead may finally be ready to start dating again - at his seven-year-old urging.

'I want to get out there and Dannielynn has been pushing me out the door trying to get me to go on dates now for a couple of years,' the 41-year-old told Good Morning America after Tuesday's episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, in which Larry trades his sister for racing car driver Helio Castroneves' girlfriend Adrianna Henao.

The episode lifts the lids on Larry and Dannielynn's home life in Louisville, Kentucky as Adrianna takes on the role of mother. Larry's sister Angela Birkhead-Heuser, goes to stay with the Castroneves’ in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

'I was like, "Look, you guys know I’m not married," and they are like, "Does anybody help you out with your daughter?" And I said, "Yeah, my sister,"' Larry told ABC. 'They said, "We can send your sister and exchange her for somebody’s wife or fiancée or girlfriend." So I said, "OK, where do I sign up?" and I was packing. I think I actually packed her bags.'

Dannielynn was also excited at the prospect of a 'substitute mom'.

'I’m both parents to Dannielynn, so it is hard to flip the switch. I don’t have the good cop-bad cop type of thing, so I’m both cops,' Larry said. 'I said the word, "substitute mom" or "a wife" to come in, and [Dannielynn] just immediately lit up and was like, "Really? Really?"'.

Anna Nicole died when Dannielynn was just five-months old. Three days after her birth, Dannielynn's half brother Daniel also passed away suddenly.

'It's so much for her to understand,' says Larry. 'There are pictures of Daniel and her mom around the house. She knows they're angels in heaven, I try not to make it too heavy.'

Meanwhile, Dannielynn, who recently followed in her mother's footsteps and starred in her own Guess campaign, stands to inherit close to $50 million.

'I don't really pay attention that,' said Larry, referring to the ongoing court battle with the family of Anna Nicole's ex husband J Howard Marshall's $1 billion estate. 'I think that, more than fame and celebrity, is what caused Anna heartache.'

During the episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, Adrianna runs a tight ship at Larry and Dannielynn's home.

'My rules, they're going to start today,' Adriana says, as Dannielynn looks dismayed.

At one point, Adrianna asks Dannielynn how she would feel if her father had a girlfriend, to which Dannielynn gives the thumbs-up and replies, 'Awesome.'

Larry admitted he is ready to start dating and revealed Dannielynn is more than encouraging.

'I actually sit at home a lot and watch TV and Dannielynn will point to somebody and say, "Oh, that girl is cute, Dad."'

During Adrianna's first dinner with Larry, Dannielynn, his niece Chloe and nephew Justin, Adrianna is shocked when they eat heated up cheesburgers from a fast food restaurant, which causes Larry to view Adrianna as a snob.

Adrianna thinks the house is dirty and chaotic, so she creates a chore chart and bans TV.

Ultimately, Larry likens Adriana to a drill sergeant, but he does acknowledge that her rules did make a difference.

He has been a great dad. He keeps her out of the spotlight, but keeps the media up on them about twice a year. Which is so smart. So they are not hounded and followed all the time. I still can't believe her Mom tried to keep him out of her life by lying to the entire world about who her father was. That was seriously messed up. That guy went through being vilified by everyone as a fraud.

I think there is something just a little odd about this ..first of all i think the family rooom mess was intentional and putting his daughter on reality tv is putting her in the spotlight......but its ok ..if he wants it and she wants it .. the little girl is lovely and seems loving to her father and he seems like a good guy.and cute tooo
