Marvellous in monochrome! Jennifer Lawrence looks chic in black and white as she goes to see Hamilton on Broadway

Jennifer Lawrence enjoyed a night out in New York City on Friday.

The 25-year-old was spotted making her way to see Hamilton on Broadway, and looked stunning for the evening.

Jennifer wore a stylish cream camisole with black trim, paired with smart ankle-length trousers and matching sandals.

The Oscar winner also kept warm as she strolled to the theatre from her apartment, wearing a thick black leather coat which featured sheepskin lining.

Jennifer left her golden blonde locks loose and finished off her look with natural make-up, and a slick of cherry red lipgloss.

The Hunger Games star has enjoyed a relaxing few days over Thanksgiving, and was spotted wearing the same pair of comfortable ripped jeans for three days in a row.

Stay toasty in a shearling coat like Jennifer Lawrence

If there's one place guaranteed to be colder than the UK in winter it's NYC but Jennifer Lawrence laughs in the face of the wind chill in her shearling lined aviator coat by Alberta Ferretti.

Snug as a bug in a rug, the holes in her jeans mean nothing. All the accessories she needs are a beanie hat in case her head gets chilly and a small dog which means she can do without gloves as well.

So take advantage of Black Friday deals and snap up a similar version of J-Law's coat (right) or check out the high street for similar options.

There's a great faux version from the Laden Showroom, or check out Parka London for its fur collar and Topshop for its shearling panel.

Jennifer was also seen on a girls' night out with Emma Stone and Adele earlier this week, as they dined at a fancy Mexican eatery.

The actress is currently making the most of some downtime following the release of the final film in the Hunger Games saga: Mockingjay - Part 2.

But she will soon be on the promotional trail once again, to drum up publicity for her next movie Joy, about the woman who invented the mop, which is due for release on Christmas Day.

Jennifer is keeping busy in front of the camera, starring in upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse and currently filming sci fi flick Passengers with Chris Pratt.

But she has also revealed that she is about to pursue a new directing career.

'It’s funny. I’ve wanted to direct since I was 16 and always thought I should start making steps towards that,' she told Entertainment Weekly

'If I had tried to do it earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready. Now I actually feel ready.'

Jennifer has also been writing a screenplay with her best pal Amy Schumer, which she shared some hints about when talking to Entertainment Tonight earlier this month.

'We both have very similar senses of humor, obviously and aren't afraid, which is a good and bad thing, because I don't know what our movie will be rated,' she explained.

'And we're both very blunt. So we've gotten through a really strenuous process without ever fighting, because we're both very straightforward.'
