Come and Learn More About Us

It may be small, but UNHCR's Visitor's Centre welcomes thousands of people every year from Switzerland and other countries around the world. In 2008, some 8,000 people were welcomed to the centre, which is located in a former petrol station close to UNHCR's headquarters building in Geneva.

The aim of the Visitor's Centre is to inform the public about the plight of refugees around the world and about UNHCR's mandate and humanitarian action. It organizes presentations and lectures for groups by appointment. Those visiting include government delegations, academics, university and secondary students, aid workers and other partners.

Opening Hours: The centre is open to the public on Monday afternoon, and from Tuesday to Friday (from 9:30 to 12:00pm and from 14:00 to 16:00)

Location: 94 Rue de Montbrillant, 1202 Geneva, Switzerland.

Mailing Address: UNHCR Visitors' Centre, P.O. Box 2500, 1211 Geneva 2, Switzerland.
