Tennis legend Boris Becker had only one place in mind when he was looking for a football fix on Tuesday night... Wimbledon.

The 48-year-old German ignored the allure of watching his beloved Bayern Munich hammer Olympiacos in the Champions League to take in the League Two encounter between AFC Wimbledon and Dagenham and Redbridge.

Becker was back in London as coach for Novak Djokovic, who secured the ATP World Tour title at The O2 Arena on Sunday.

Becker, a three-time champion at SW19, popped down his nearby apartment to join 3,500 other hardy souls at Kingsmeadow in Kingston.

Wimbledon’s official Twitter feed was delighted with his decision: 'Attendance is 3,557,including a rather special guest, welcome to your local club @TheBorisBecker.'
