Allison Williams is getting married in new Girls season five trailer... but will Lena Dunham's Hannah try to stop the wedding?

A new trailer for the upcoming fifth season of Girls was released on Wednesday, and fans of the HBO series certainly won't be disappointed.

Along with the laughs, there is set to be plenty of drama as Marnie (played by Allison Williams) is marrying Desi, although her best friend Hannah (Lena Dunham) is not exactly a fan of him.

In honour of the release of the new trailer, Lena shared an Instagram photo which showed Allison's character in her white wedding dress, with a flower crown.

Meanwhile Lena, Jemima Kirke (who plays Jessa) and Zosia Mamet (who portrays Shoshanna) wore matching lilac dresses while acting as her on-screen bridesmaids.

Allison shared the same photo to Instagram, along with the caption: 'Biggest secret I’ve ever had to keep for the show… I had two weddings in one year. One was a dream, the other was… Marnie’s.'

It's a case of art imitating life, as 27-year-old Allison Williams really did get married to CollegeHumor founder Ricky Van Veen in September, with her co-stars as guests.

However it seems Marnie may not get quite the same happy ending as Allison did, if Hannah has anything to say about it.

The trailer shows Allison scolding her best friend, telling her: 'The very least you could do right now is pretend that I might be doing the right thing.'

We then see Hannah complaining to new boyfriend Fran (Jake Lacy): 'She's going to be married to someone she barely knows.'

Earlier in the clip, Marnie is not happy about how Hannah has been acting as she gets ready on the morning of her wedding day.

'You have to tell Hannah that she has been so inappropriate all day,' Marnie tells Shoshanna.

And Shoshanna hilariously replies: 'Wouldn't you rather do that? It kind of just seems like something that you would really enjoy doing.'

Worried: Hannah doesn't exactly hide the fact that she isn't a big fan of Marnie's fiance Desi

Make a statement like Lena in a slogan sweatshirt

Whether it's rocking digital printmania by Mary Katrantzou or when she's in the GIRLS character here in a "I Woke Up Like This" Sweatshirt by Private Party, Lena Dunham always makes a statement with her whimsical style.

The pixie haired beauty looked gorge in this Beyonce-approved lyrical top.

We love the pared-back simplicity of this sweatshirt, an easy throw-on-and-go piece that will add an instant dose of cool to any outfit. Did we mention Private Party, brand known for it's quirky, slogan separates, has a celeb following of Cara Delevingne, Cheryl Cole and Rihanna?

If you want to follow in their very fashionable footsteps (and who wouldn't!) click the link (right) to snap it up now.

In another funny clip, Hannah can be seen wearing her bridesmaid dress in a ridiculous and revealing way, while covered in sweat.

Marnie frets that her make-up is 'insane', and Hannah unhelpfully tells her: 'It's not insane, OK? If we just take it down a little... around the face.'

We also see a glimpse of Shoshanna's new life in Tokyo, as she tells someone during a video chat: 'You know how people say that you can't run away from your problems? Well, I moved away from mine, and it worked, so people are so wrong.'

And Fran is shown looking uncomfortable about Hannah's close friendship with her gay best friend Elijah (Andrew Rannells).

But while Hannah seems to be settled in her new relationship, her ex Adam (Adam Driver) isn't completely out of the picture, and we see a very brief shot of him in the trailer.

Girls returns for its fifth season on Sunday, February 21, 2016 on HBO.
