'It gets better kiddies!' Krysten Ritter says she wasn't always superhero material as she shares awkward childhood snap
She plays the sassy superhero with a sharp tongue and even sharper wit.
But Krysten Ritter wasn't always so glamorous as she posted a throwback photo of herself as a youngster on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old actress captioned the snap, which looked to be zoomed in from a group school photo: 'It gets better kiddies!!!' followed by grimacing emojis and hearts.

Adorable: Krysten Ritter gave geeks everywhere hope when she posted a throwback photo of herself as a youngster on Wednesday
The adorably dorky picture sees Krysten with rather short bangs which possibly look like they've been cut at home.
She's wearing a white polo neck sweater underneath a frilly aqua dress.
The white continues a theme, with thick white leggings and trainers, as well as an alice band in her brunette tresses.
To complete the image, Krysten is wearing now-dated large round spectacles.

However, the star - who plays the titular role in Marvel's Jessica Jones TV series - is distinctive in her elegant poise and stunning bone structure.
Despite doing all she can to distract from her future good locks, the ducking had all the hallmarks of a future swan including a strong bone-structure and perfect posture.
The actress is winning praise for her portrayal of the superhero, as her boss told E! News recently.
'She's just a very real, very complex, very damaged character...we've never seen a superhero go through what she has gone through' executive producer Melissa Rosenberg told them.
Speaking of Krysten's portrayal, she added: 'That woman can deliver a dry line like nobody else…What's so funny is people keep asking me, "What are the limitations working with Marvel?" and really, the only one I could ever think of was I'm not allowed to drop any f-bombs.
'Everybody who saw it goes, "Wait a minute, she didn't?" I was like, "No." I realized the reason people think they are hearing that is because Krysten Ritter can say that with her eyes. She could say, "polar bear" and it'd be an f-bomb. She's got that kind of skill.'
Marvel's Jessica Jones is now streaming on Netflix.
