She's loved the world over for her comedic talents and hilarious film roles.

So it came as little surprise that Rebel Wilson joined the star-studded cast of the highly-anticipated Absolutely Fabulous film.

After finishing filming her cameo in the new movie this week, the Australian actress stepped out in an all-black outfit to attend the wrap party in London on Tuesday night.

Joining the film's main stars, Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, Rebel cut a low-key figure in matching black trousers, a black top and a black overcoat.

The only hint of colour came from a white stripe on her trilby hat and a white brooch on her jacket as she headed to the Soho party venue.

The 35-year-old tied her blonde locks back into a ponytail but styled her fringe to one side to frame her face.

It comes after Jennifer revealed earlier this year that the Bridesmaids star wrote to her asking for a part.

And the film's writer and lead star shared a photo on Twitter hours before the wrap party giving a clue as to Rebel's part.

'This hostess tried to check in my under eye baggage,' she quipped under the snap of the funnywoman dressed in uniform.

The new movie, based on the classic television series, is slated for release in September 2016 and alongside Rebel features cameos from the likes of Emma Bunton and Kate Moss.

Kim Kardashian, Victoria Beckham and Harry Styles have also all been linked to the comedy film, while Cara Delevingne has reportedly bagged herself a cameo.

Jennifer Saunders is reprising her role as Eddie Monsoon while Joanna Lumley returns as Patsy Stone.

Joanna turned out to the event in a suitably fabulous faux fur coat teamed with leopard print trousers.

Quick change: After filming earlier in the week in her air hostess uniform, Rebel changed into her glad rags

Jennifer meanwhile coordinated with her pal in a blue furry cover-up layered over a black shirt and trousers.

Julia Sawalha, who plays Eddie's long-suffering daughter Saffy, was also in attendance along with Helen Lederer and Jane Horroccks, who reprise their roles as fashion schmmozer Catriona and Eddie's assistant Bubbles.

Lulu was also all dressed up for the night out, teaming skinny black jeans with boots and a chic scarf as she arrived in Soho, followed by June Whitfield, who's back as Eddie's mother.
