Conor McGregor has taken time out of his hectic training schedule ahead of his UFC unification bout with Jose Aldo to relax by the beach.

The Irish fighter travelled to Los Angeles earlier this week to finish his training camp and acclimatise to the conditions ahead of the title bout.

He faces Aldo in the UFC 194 featherweight title fight on December 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 12.

Posting the photograph on Instagram, the 27-year-old said he was 'enjoying the beach' as he sat topless while taking a refreshing drink.

Only on Saturday had the Dubliner posted an Instagram video on the beach of a sprint race in 'Rocky and Apollo Creed style'.

Ahead of next month's title fight, McGregor has consistently raised doubts that Aldo will turn up to the MGM Grand, after the Brazilian pulled out of their last battle in July.

McGregor has now claimed that those watching the title fight won't care if the featherweight champion fails to show again, as long as they get to see him in action.

Speaking in an interview with Irish website Severe MMA, he said: 'I'll be there. I have made it. I have put myself through an intense training camp.

'I'm gonna go and enjoy that beach weather, get that Vitamin D and make it to fight night. Who cares if he's there or not, I'll be there. I hope he's there, but I don't know.'
