'Please feed your dogs': Kylie Jenner could face investigation of animal cruelty after posting Snapchat video of Italian Greyhound Bambi showing ribs

She came under fire from fans after posting a video of one of her beloved four-legged friends looking like they needed a good meal.

And now it seems despite the Italian Greyhound Club of America insisting her dogs Bambi and Norman are supposed to be on the skinny side, it has not been enough to satisfy concerns over their well being.

The LA County Animal Control confirmed to TMZ on Wednesday they had received complaints regarding her treatment of her pets.

While they would not say whether they had had more than one call, the body did reveal the concerns were to do with possible animal cruelty.

The reality star was criticised over how she cares for her pets after posting a Snapchat of the two hounds - in it one of the animals ribs and backbone could clearly be seen.

As Bambi, who was over excited to see her owner jumped up to say hi to Kylie, her skinny state caused comments from fans saying she looked malnourished.

Another said: 'I've had an Italian Greyhound as a puppy and despite its hyperactivity it had some skin covering [its] ribs. [There's] obviously a problem here that she needs to address.

A third user also said the dogs looked too thin saying: 'Kylie — this is sad. Even for you — suck up your pride and hear what everyone is saying before this becomes explosive.'

'Get the dog seen — and find a regimen to [make] them healthy again. This is wrong and you're in no place to dispute it.'

Kylie will no doubt have been very upset with comments - as she is often seen lavishing attention on her pets.

Experts with the club told TMZ the video Kylie posted of one of her pups was perfectly normal for the breed.

And they confirmed the pooches are supposed to be lean, as they are bred to run.

A healthy Italian Greyhound should show a hint of 3 ribs and its hip bones.

The IGCA rep also added Bambi could have been taking a breath so she would have looked even thinner and have an exaggerated rib cage.
