Victoria Beckham flashes a hint of skin in cheeky sheer panelled skirt as she rocks a matching bomber jacket as she flies into NYC

She is known to stick to a particular style.

Yet Victoria Beckham broke the fashion mould as she arrived at New York's JFK airport on Sunday while preparing to present her new fashion collection in the Big Apple.

The outfit certainly stood out from the crowd as Victoria rocked an uncharacteristic bomber jacket - a world away from her favoured elegant dresses and well-cut gowns.

Victoria's skirt appeared extremely demure due to its pleated detailing and calf-length hem yet a saucy sheer panel along her thigh flashed a cheeky glimpse of leg.

In-keeping with the matching feel of the look, she added pointed navy heels to the look - to help tie in with the navy ensemble.

Get flower power in Victoria's bomber jacket

She's no stranger to promoting her own clothes, and it seems Victoria Beckham is keen to start the publicity for her spring 2016 collection nice and early, as she touched in in New York this week donning a rather summery ensemble.

Hot off the catwalk in September, this matching floral bomber jacket and skirt set is from the upcoming Spring 16 Victoria Beckham range and will be available to buy in the New Year. For now though you can click to the right to shop the current collection from the brand over at Net-a-Porter.

We always adore a matchy matchy set, but this one is demure rather than cute, and both smart and casual with the chic floral print and relaxed bomber jacket. Both pieces look just as great together as they would on their own, and we can't help but feel that bomber jacket would take on a whole new look were it to be paired with jeans and trainers.

Bomber jackets are still a must have item in the fashion stakes, and with everyone from Cara Delevingne to Gwen Stefani rocking them, it's about time you added one to your wardrobe. Shop our edit below for more floral styles from around the web to rival Victoria's.

The former Spice Girl pulled her long brunette locks across one shoulder and allowed her long-layers to frame the front of her face.

Victoria, who shares children Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and Harper, four; with her football ace husband David, shielded her face with a huge pair of sunglasses.

She appeared to wear minimal make-up beyond her glasses - a nod to the muted, high-fashion look she has adopted in recent years, a world away from her heavy fake tan and lengthy hair extensions from her younger days.
