Louisa Johnson visits her old primary school with X Factor mentor Rita Ora as her campaign for the show final ramps up
She’s agonisingly close to realising a lifetime's ambition after landing a place in The X Factor final.
And aspiring singer Louisa Johnson took things back to basics as she visited her old primary school in Grays, Essex, on Monday alongside her mentor Rita Ora.
Hundreds of screaming schoolchildren waving homemade posters greeted the pair as they stepped off the 'Battle Bus' outside St Thomas of Canterbury School.

Louisa looked thrilled to be back as she excitedly waved to the youngsters while exiting the personalised bus.
The pop star in the making, 17, cut a fashionable figure in a pair of high-waisted skinny grey jeans with ripped knees, and a cropped long sleeved white top which showed off her toned tum and pierced bellybutton.
Injecting a dose of glamour to the ensemble were a pair of towering black heels which laced up above the ankle down to the toes.
Louisa's long flowing golden locks tumbled down her shoulders from a neat middle parting. The singer look fresh-faced for the occasion, opting for minimal make-up.

The songstress matched her protege in the hair department, again choosing to wear her wavy tresses down over her shoulders.
Typically, the RIP star applied a flash of pink lipstick to make a bright statement.

Joining Louisa in the final are Ché Chesterman and Reggie N Bollie after Lauren Murray lost out to the judges vote in Sunday's semi-final.
The Ghanaian duo have never been in the bottom two and have proved to be hugely popular with the voting public.

Speaking to ITV before making the final three, they said: 'If we make the Final, I think the two of us will aim to be motivational speakers because it’s like a one in a million chance for artists like us to make it to the Final.
'We would use our story to inspire anyone who thinks they aren’t good enough – you don’t have to be the best, you just have to work hard.'
And the boys will get a taste of the celebrity lifestyle on Monday when they appear on the red carpet for the Metro Radio Christmas Live event in Newcastle as part of a trip to their mentor Cheryl Fernandez Versini's hometown.
