Spider-Man is set to make his debut in next Captain America film titled Civil War
Spider-Man will make his debut in the upcoming Captain America film, which has been titled Civil War.
The web-slinger will be played by 19-year-old British actor Tom Holland, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Sony Pictures had previously agreed to lend Spider-Man as a supporting character in a license-sharing deal announced in February, as reported by Yahoo.com. The release date of the film is May 6, 2016.

Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, confirmed Spider-Man's inclusion in the Civil War film to EW.com.
During a break from filming a large battle scene for the movie, Robert told EW.com: '[Don] Cheadle and I are just going, "Wow, dude, look at this."
'We're now like the old guard, and our storyline carries real weight just because our history in the [canon]. But we're also looking around like, "Who thought that Falcon and Panther and Ant-Man and now Spider-Man?" I mean it's like wow, this thing is just crazy.'
Fans had previously guessed that Spider-Man would be part of the film because of his role in the Civil War comic series by Mark Millar.

The licensing deal permits Marvel to use Spider-Man in its superhero ensemble films, according to EW.com.
Sony and Marvel are teaming up to produce a Spider-Man reboot with Tom, with the first film set to be released by Sony in July 2017 and directed by Jon Watts.
Spider-Man, also known as Peter Parker, was previously played by Tobey Maguire in three films, followed by Andrew Garfield in two films.
The official trailer for Captain America: Civil War was recently released, featuring Captain America, played by Chris Evans, and Iron Man.

The duo also appeared on the latest cover for Entertainment Weekly, as well as Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman, who is introduced into the Marvel Universe in the film.
Captain America: Civil War, which is the third film in the franchise, also stars: Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson; Hawkeye, played Jeremy Renner; Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen; Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie; Winter Soldier, played by Sebastian Stan; and Ant-Man, played by Paul Rudd.
When asked about Spider-Man's role in the upcoming film, Chris told EW.com: 'I can't tell you anything about that.There are some things you remember from those list of no-no's.'

In the movie, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America and Iron Man are at odds over what each believes is the correct way people should live their lives.
While Iron Man thinks the government should play a part, Captain America thinks humanity should be able to rule on its own.
Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, and The Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, will not be part of this film, EW.com reports.
The Hulk will be included in Thor: Ragnarok, set to be released in November 2017.
