She was first seen in the gorgeous gown on a date night with her husband at Hollywood hot spot Craig's restaurant in on November 21.

And Amy Adams couldn't resist wearing the low-cut maxi dress for a second time when she and Darren Le Gallo turned up for a private party in the West Hollywood neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Saturday evening.

The black dress, which features a plunging neckline and amber-hued butterflies and flowers, is by designer Rebecca Minkoff and retails for $448 - a reasonable price for a Hollywood star.

The long-sleeved dress also has a full pleated skirt that draped beautifully around the actress's slender figure as she Darren, who are both 41, walked across the pavement from their car.

The red-head left her hair to free to cascade over her shoulders and appeared to be wearing very little make-up beyond some autumnal colours around her green eyes and peach lipstick.

The American Hustle star's hunky husband wore black from head to toe, teaming a v-neck sweater with a jacket, trousers and lace-up shoes.

Amy Adams made sure date night with her hubby, Darren Le Gallo was extra special when she slipped into this dress by Rebecca Minkoff.

So much in love: The beautiful redhead could hardly keep her hands off her hunky husband

Darren, who is also an actor, completed his look with a natty trilby hat.

The couple have been together since 2001 after meeting in acting class but they are obviously still very much in love as Amy could hardly keep her hands off Darren, lovingly draping her arms around his shoulders as they walked.

The pair, who share five-year-old Aviana Olea Le Gallo, finally tied the knot in May after being engaged for seven years.

Meanwhile, Amy is currently filming thriller Nocturnal Animals with an all-star cast including Jake Gyllenhaal, Isla Fisher, Kim Basinger, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ellie Bamber, Robert Aramayo and Armie Hammer.

She stars as a woman who is sent a manuscript from her ex-husband, whom she parted with 20 years earlier, asking for her opinion.

Due out March 25, Amy reprises her role as Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane, a character she played in 2013's Man Of Steel.

She also recently completed sci-fi flick Story Of Your Life about a linguist who works with the military to figure out if aliens who have landed on earth are a threat or not.
