His charming good looks have been the highlight of the weekend for Strictly Come Dancing viewers.

But taking some time away from the ballroom, heartthrob Gleb Savchenko enjoyed a casual date with his wife Elena Samodanova on Sunday.

However with dance never too far from his mind, the couple headed to Sadler's Wells to catch the gala performance of Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty.

Dressed down for their date, Gleb wore a black top with grey jeans and high top trainers.

Styling his hair back out of his face, Savchenko accessorised with a star print scarf as he topped his ensemble with leather jacket.

Elena also rocked a ribbed detail jacket with a white top, high waisted black trousers and boots as she clutched a designer tote.

Gleb and Elena, who is also a dancer, met in 2003, wed in 2006 and together they have a four-year-old daughter named Olivia.

Speaking about how their passion for dance has rubbed off on Olivia, Savchenko told The Sun: 'She loves it. She’s so cute, I miss her. 

The 32-year-old continued: 'She’s at school in Hong Kong, which is home for us, but I’m not going to push her like some parents do.'

Not the only Strictly Come Dancing star in tow, Gleb was joined at the gala by Kevin Clifton and his better half Karen Clifton, and judge Bruno Tonioli also attended.

The star-studded event also saw Brian May, Anita Dobson, Sarah Hadland, Tamzin Outhwaite, Fiona Bruce and Ruth Jones in the audience.

Bourne's Sleeping Beauty is a gothic tale set to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score and will run until January 24, 2016.
