Michelle was every inch the quintessential English rose as she appeared on the show wearing a stunning, pastel-hued coat with a waist-defining belt around her middle.

In-keeping with her light-coloured look, she wore a pair of elegant cropped white trousers, which served to make her long legs look lengthier due to the ironed pleat along the front.

The London-born lovely gave a glimpse of a long-sleeved, black polka dot top beneath her coat, which matched the leather gloves she later put in place to brace against the New York chill.

Making her look even more elegant, Michelle added a pair of delicate pointed flat heels in a nude colour with a quilted front strap and two delicate buckles.

Michelle's make-up was typically perfect with her flawless alabaster skin being highlighted by a touch of highlighter and a glimmering foundation while her eyes were outlined with dark kohl.

She pulled her brunette locks into a half ponytail while allowing tendrils to frame her face as she highlighted her stunning features with a pair of pearl studded earrings.

Elsewhere, Michelle recently admitted that she felt very emotional filming the series finale for Downton Abbey, in which her character, Lady Mary found love with racing driver Henry Talbot.

She told Red magazine: 'I didn’t expect to feel so sad. But I think it was a smart move to end the show where we did.

'At the wrap party, the producer did a speech and said, "now let’s party like it’s 1925!" My feet have only just recovered from all the dancing.'

Adding: 'When Downton first became… just the enormity of it. I was so overwhelmed and found it hard to adjust to being recognised and having my private life in the spotlight.'
